Exactly and thats why im glad that didnt get promoted. Oh well they wont be using the same policy next year
Why won't they? They are a club who last season nearly went into administration and average 13000 per home game. Their new owners have a sound business model by sharing their resources with Granada and Udinese, why would they go and spend a fortune on players which could damage the clubs finances when they already have talent elsewhere?

I too live in Bromley. Many friends are Palace fans, been there quite a few times myself.
Very happy, hope they stay up just lose to us twice though!

Many of my mates are Palace fans too, and I often take up their season ticket seat when they can't make it, although I have the joy of living in Croydon! The place was buzzing today though. Most of the Palace fans were on the beers at breakfast time!

Uh the fact they won't be the Udinese B team next year as there is a limit on overseas loans. 8 plays on loan from Udinese on its own...joke.

well it actually meant they had a squad for the start of the season, they couldn't afford to buy anyone as they lost half their squad to pay off debts to the previous owners.
So, if they decide to make permanent transfers of any of the players it'll be for a nominal fee and anyone else, such as Vydra, a great shop window, whilst maintaining financial stability.
Good luck to them.

Ain't they under a transfer embargo until August 31st?

Stock piling players isn't a positive thing. Look at Abramovich and the way he buys players so others can't then puts them on loan elsewhere.

they are, again because of the previous owners and their dark dealings. They are extremely fortunate to have played at Wembley today, most of their supporters were expecting points deductions and relegation battles this season!

I thought it was Eagles, Crystals or maybe even the Palais but Sinatra's is a possibility, it was above the Sainsburys

Sinatra's was in the centre of Croydon . Used to host a lot of unlicensed boxing about 30 years ago .

Not Glaziers ?

Anyhow , commiserations to Watford and congratulations to Palace for playing a very mature , savvy game . If Watford had scored first the flood gates might have opened . When it came down to it Palace's know-how negated Watfords athleticism .

Very good match too .

Very good match? I was hoping the FA would decide that neither team should come up. Barring the last 10 minutes and extra time i reckon it was one of the worst games I have ever seen!

I think Palace look like one of the more nailed-on relegation certainties of the teams to come up in recent years, but then people have said that about teams like Hull and Blackpool and they made a good fight of it.

But Palace have been woeful this year (1 win in 10 before the playoffs), don't really have a lot of money and I just can't see how they're going to get up to Premiership standard by the start of the season.

Still...good to see them back even if it may be only for a brief stay.

Yep , absolutely nailed on .

That is the reality of the modern game .

No room for a Coventry City or even a Leicester City in the SKY era and the new P.L. TV money deal will only make matters worse .

It's becoming more like Formula 1 every year - a procession with very little overtaking designed to do little more than provide TV programming .

At least we had a brilliant FA Cup this year , perhaps the best in all respects for 20 years .
