Watched a few of highlight videos. Don't rate him at all. Not worth more than 10 mill. Seems absolutely useless outside the box and nothing that special in it. If we have the option we should get Lacrazette. I'd personally be more excited about the Fulham Dembele than this guy, as at least he's young and could improve.
Tell me what's to get excited about in either of these two videos:

It's easy to hypnotized by an exotic name from a foreign league, but I don't see it at all.

Anyways... every part of your post has something which makes it continually worse.

Firstly, if you're going to offer an assessment of a player- including an estimation of his market value, his areas of strength/weakness and his ability compared to other players- do not start your post with 'watched a few highlight videos' - because you're walking into a disaster.

You then act like some sort of transfers expert, by judging what his value is- again, based off some videos.

Your comment on his abilities - 'Seems absolutely useless outside the box and nothing that special in it.'- has seemingly been extracted from these videos- both of which are of him playing against top teams, and are just 2 individual games out of the OVER 50 he has played in this season. Even then he actually manages to score against both teams.

You then say we should go for Alexandre Lacazette instead, which is brilliant, especially as your next post says we shouldn't be 'hypnotized by an exotic name from a foreign league'. Fantastic irony, especially as your opinion of Lacazette (you spelt his name wrong by the way) is probably based off a couple of compilations.

The final part of your first post, however, is what makes it undeniably special (and not in a good way), as @FreddieYid has identified. You say you prefer Moussa Dembele (another foreign name), a player who has, in the CHAMPIONSHIP, scored fewer goals having played 7 games more.

The last words are a kind of microcosm of the nonsense contained in you post- by saying, about Dembele, 'at least he's young and could improve'.

Batshuayi is 22 years of age. He is younger than Kane (who I guess won't improve either), and Dybala is the only U23 player that registered more goals and assists in a Top 5 league (Batshuayi is tied in 2nd with Kane).

So I don't need to watch the videos you have posted because I'm not stupid enough to make an assessment of a player based on them, and because I've also watched full matches involving Batshuayi.

And because our scouts would have watched and analysed his every move in his matches, so if we want him, it's going to be because they've actually watched all his matches, and have judged his ability and high potential, something that may not be shown in some random YouTube videos.

Have a good morning.

Agree with this point. There is no reason why you couldn't play them together. Harry could even drop into the hole as a number 10 as he used to play for the U21s. Given the style of Tottenhams play it wouldn't restrict his opportunities to score as the team all defends and attacks as one - it may even keep him a little more central as he has a tendency to push wide at times. Also, given the amount of games he has played over the past 2 seasons Poch may be looking at restricting his time next season to prevent risk of injury.

I think Kane moving wide is a deliberate tactic. We often have Toby playing a long diagonal to the touchline which puts defenders under pressure. The touchline cuts out options for the defender, especially with our fullbacks in their face. This in itself helps with our offensive press. In contrast, a ball straight up the middle is much easier to defend successfully since we're not that good at winning the 'second' ball.

I don't disagree however with Harry being the one doing that it does leave us light in the middle for the following phase. Obviously if he played in the middle of the three he would still push wide on occasion as he rotates with Eriksen and Lamela etc but with another striker on the pitch there would be the outlet available to then come through the centre as currently our only player really capable of filling the hole is Dele, having an extra option would be useful

From last year, regarding Yedlin:

I didn't rate him at all after watching a few videos is MLS games - just can't defend well enough for a top team and he lacks the technical ability to become a winger. Doubt he'll ever play for us again though hope he can get a move to somewhere like Norwich, which is gotta be a hell of lot better than having to live in and around Sunderland.

Your reply: ""

You can tell a lot from YouTube videos. Batshuayi will score a few goals in the PL but he's by no means a special player that can change a game. Anyway, you make sure to put this in that little black book of yours and remind me of it in a couple of years when I'm proved wrong, and I'll do the likewise when I'm proved right.

Why do you think we want Batshuayi?

I can't tell if you're serious or not. You "watched a few highlight videos?" On that logic do you fancy us resigning Adel Taarabt? Seen him do a few tasty tricks on YouTube.

Yedlin actually played pretty damn well down the stretch for Sunderland this season once he got regular minutes and settled into the league. While he wasn't good enough to play for Spurs, he is definitely good enough to play in the premier league for a mid-bottom table club.

Really disappointed. When I saw Stoof had posted on the thread, I expected his stamp.

That is progression at least.

I usually just get:

"Really disappointed when I saw Stoof had posted."

The Championship is a stronger league than Ligue 1 overall.
