Do like this site for stats. Seems he played pretty much all of the last season as a CF. Strong 1 in 2 goal ratio and decent assists. Bit worried about some of the weaknesses listed (especially if he ends up playing wide often) but hopefully they can be improved by our coaching team.

A signing like this simply gives us loads more options.

He can play instead of Kane in case of injury/drop in form.

He can play with Kane if we want a more gung-ho 4-4-2 approach.

He can play with Kane with Kane dropping off in the 4-2-3-1.

And it looks as if he'd be fairly well suited to one of the wider roles as well in the 4-2-3-1.

All in all he'd be a great signing, and looks well suited to the Premier League as well.

Which is why I'm still sceptical. I want to believe it, but it's so long since we were so decisive in the transfer market in such a key area that I refuse to believe it at the moment.

These alone mean more competition for Eriksen, Lamela, Alli and Son which is a good thing (as long as they stay happy).

Also means a much more dynamic sub option that Chadli, and gives us the option of Alli, Eriksen dropping deeper at times.

Good point :(

I guess at some point lessons actually have to be learned, right???

Strengths and weaknesses. Would it not just be easier to get Defoe back?

The player review there is interesting , especially the favoured right foot bit. Unless I've been watching his youtube goals vid reversed , he's scored loads with his left (y)
He's also a couple of inches taller than on wiki. Maybe he scores with his right when he's wearing platform boots?
