Great, and they wonder why they don't do well in tournaments....?

Croatia and Serbia have both performed better as nations than a combined Yugoslavia was doing, even though they were in theory carving up their assets. That unity/identify is so important

Lack of national identity undermined Spain for decades too. There was the famous case of Catalonia supporting England over (Castile) Spain because Lineker (a one-time Barca player) was playing for England

Hopefully get this deal wrapped up this week. Quite worrying seeing Arsenal getting a big deal done so soon.
I'm not sure writing the wanderers name properly and with a capital A is appropriate. I maybe be new round these parts but i'm sure bad language of such a nature isn't necessary, perhaps you could consider a few alternatives: that lot, the arse, woolwich wanderers or arsanal.
PS, no one can sign a player until June 1st when the transfer window opens, well unless their out of contract of coarse.
Adios amigos, my job here is done stay safe, and don't forget the green cross code.;)

Doesn't the window open July 1st?

I did consider that, but then I remembered how idiotic they look calling us 'Spuds' and decided not to sink to their level.

To be totally pedantic you can basically sign players whenever you like. You simply can't register a player until the transfer window opens.

I have no issue with spuds, I eat them on a regular basis and they haven't done me any harm yet.

Whats pretty funny is that recent studies have found that potatoes can raise your blood pressure...

To be honest us Spud fans have known that for years.

I wish people would stop wetting their knickers over Arsenal signing someone. We've been told by reliable itk that we want to get out business done early, and that this is almost wrapped up.

Chill.

And players are on holiday until July anyway, so it really doesn't matter when they can be registered.

Interesting

Maradonna said something very similar about the 1990 semi final Argentina vs Italy

He was the favourite son of Napoli at the time and he used the major north south divide (and disconnection from the people of Naples to the Italian national identity) to garner support for him and his Argentina team from the Naples crowd as they battled the Italian national team for a place in the World cup final

Yugoslavia played some of the best football in Europe though. I used to love watching them play.
