"Spurs didnt even play well, just took their chances"

How long have we been saying this when we've lost to that lot!
Not like Chelsea played well either. I mean we were hardly getting battered and they just couldnt score. They were at home so they should see more of ball and create more chances. Had 2 more shots, less on target, less possesion and same amount of corners.

huge parallel between Eriksens goal and Pedro's last season - totally changed the momentum of the game.

If Stephen Hawking were alive he'd struggle to understand how Eriksen could make a football do that :)

Feckin enjoyed that. Now on my keep forever on Sky recordings. Watched the game in pub so somewhat hanging. That said, out today on my Chavtastic little friends.

Spurs losing at the Bridge...c'mon, since when. Thatcher's Gold please.

Fantastic !! Along with the rest of you I've waited 28 years for this, and when it arrives I'm out of the country celebrating a big birthday in Rio. Ironically I got the news via my phone via wifi the hotel whilst waiting to be picked up from the hotel to goto the Olympic stadium to watch the first leg of a Rio State Cup final between Botofago and Vasco de Gama which Botofago lost 3-2 in injury time.
I was in the home section and felt gutted for them but that couldn't wipe the smile off my face from today's monumental result all the way back in Blighty. Great atmosphere at this local Rio derby.
Would you believe it, amongst the crowd bumped into the only person in the ground with a shirt from an English club and guess what it was ours !!!! (Worn by a local) I went up to him and shook his hand.

Were off to Buenos Aries next week and we have tickets for the Racing Club v River Plate derby game. From my knowledge Ricky Villa played for Racing Club immediately before he came to us and Ossie managed them briefly in 2002, on the River Plate side our own Erik Lamela played for them, based on that choice sorry Erik but I'm going for Racing Club because we will be in the home end and I'm not supporting a team whose traditional kit is red.
Some game you chose to attend!! Yeah, Brazilian fans don't mess around when it comes to atmosphere.

There's more Spurs fans in Brazil than you'd think.

One by one all of the "it's been's" have been knocked off, "it's been" X years since Spurs won at Arsenal gone, it's been X years since Spurs won at old Trafford gone, its been 28 years since Spurs won at Stamford Bridge gone! They've moved onto the "only's" now, Spurs have only won this or that many times here or there but it is all getting a bit thin for the headline writers and especially sky.
There are none left now they've all gone and that is the importance of this result.

We have found a way to compete and win without Kane.
We've always been able to compete and win without Kane. He's our best player, no doubt. But the suggestion that we rely on him or are a "one man team" is one of the biggest myths in football. Over the last couple of seasons our record without him is quality.

It sure was, I was very impressed with it, the singing and chanting beforehand during and after the game, and I admired the way the fans responded to going a goal down, if anything they didn't give up or head for the exits, it simply encouraged them more to get behind their team and sing louder throughout it all.

It was really infectious and uplifting.

It's actually really feckin' tedious that people keep bellyaching about what gets said in the Match Thread. Unless it's racist, downright disrespectful or extremely unfair, don't pay it any attention. We're not having tea at Claridges!

This. It’s far more tedious than a few ott comments that would get lost in the thread if just ignored.

I actually wonder whether some posters get time to actually watch the game, as they are so busy being internet warriors calling out peoples posts, comments and opinions after the fact.

Must be very time consuming, but then where would we all be without their sterling efforts to keep us on the right path? We all owe them a great debt

Just as important is that we will not have to wait another 28 years before we win there again, the confidence and maturity of this team is self evident and will ensure more frequent wins away against the big six.
