summing up

You know what makes me laugh? Reading the comments and all the hate and spite about it - this is, perhaps, the one single game we've ever shown teeth, and we were riled into it. Chelsea went out of their way to wind us up and we bit. And didn't we fuckin' bite.

They want to feel hard done by, they're welcome to. They wanted to turn up the heat, we showed them what we are made of when a team tries to bully us - we don't retaliate, we go bezerk.

They might have salvaged a draw, but that is the definition of chat shit, get banged.

This little montage shows how much the Chavs got away with.

Last nights performance was not only light years away from being "Spursy" but was a warning to the rest of the PL for next season.

They did that to make themselves feel better for coming mid-table with a multi-billion dollar team and not winning a single thing or gaining a European place this season.

It's embarrassing to the extreme.

"you're fucking shit" is pure projection.

Internally, they are devastated and thoroughly embarrassed by the dogshit their team has produced for most of the season. The whole world has seen how low they have sunk.

If we're 'fucking shit' and they drew with us at home what does that say about them?
It's weird but for me the silver lining here is the way that Chelsea have utterly played to type. I can't speak for anyone else but my personal disappointment is making me feel even a little bit unhinged. I mean, how on earth can a man of my age allow a game of football to affect him like this? But, and this is genuine, the behaviour and character that Chelsea, fans and playersd alike have shown has made me feel a lot better this morning. They really are vile, whereas we display just the right degree of humanity. In terms of foul play yesterday we didn't do ourselves proud, and yet somehow given that it was an emotional, immature reaction, and not something premeditated or tactical, I kind of understand it. On the other hand, we have Chelsea. Where do we start! I'm so glad that our team have carried themselves the way they have this season. So glad that THFC and CFC are as different as chalk and cheese. Thanks for reminding me of this, oh CFC, on this of all days I needed something to cheer me up.

Do you not just think the rest of the teams will think after last night 'that Spurs side, wind them up and they'll see the red mist and get players sent off'?

There are far better examples this season of us matching the grit of our opponent to win a match without having to make silly tackles or be drawn into nonsensical 'squaring up' and all that stuff Chelsea's players are famous for.

I'm sorry but last night was naive stupidity. We fell into the trap they set for us.

We did fall into to the trap but they've spent years perfecting the pre match mind games and the on pitch antics. Right from the off they were surrounding Clattenburg, waving imaginary cards, over-reacting etc.. We were there to play football and they were there to prevent us from beating them at a game we are currently better at. Maybe we were naïve but we will certainly have learned a lot from the experience.

Clattenburg could have avoided all the shenanigans if he would have clamped down early on. But he let all of their shit slide and continued to the entire game. So after a while, the boys decided that instead of shutting them up while playing football, we'll shut them up at their own game. They were expecting that we'd roll over after enough of their bullshit. Instead, we fought back.

Chelsea's early tactical fouls and off the ball antics, combined with very lenient reffing for the first 30 mins, left us with two options:
1) Get more aggressive
2) Get kicked off the pitch

Agree 100% with this. Was thinking early on that the ref was letting too many fouls pass, quite a few on Kane. The ref got the game where he wanted it and had there been a sending off, he'd have been the one responsible.

Btw, would love to see someone make a video of the Hazard and Fabregas quotes and then our tackles on them.

I think Kane was taken out three times in the final third, within the first 15-20 minutes. Every time we attacked, they got away with a late challenge or blocking off a key run. Perhaps the ref was right to play advantage some of the time (definitely not every time), but he should have been pulling the Chelsea players back for a yellow card.

It really bugs me that refs are more lenient in the early stages of games (just like it makes no sense that something is a foul on the halfway line but not in the penalty area). I appreciate that refs don't want to ruin games by giving out too many cards, but surely clamping down early on would actually improve the quality of the game.

Clattenburg was abysmal in what he let go. He did lose control. A few early cards would have calmed things down. No one is mentioning the melee of their players when Kane scored.

Yes, let's hope so because it'll keep happening if we display such a mental weakness in the face of what I agree were embarrassing and shameful tactics from Chelsea.

What baffled me was why we decided to do it at 2-0 up.

Rose squaring up to Willian got it all going as they could see at that point that we were starting to react. It was mindless.

I've figured out what happened last night, I think. We'd gone 2-0 up and thought it was game over, so it was time for retribution for what was said in the media. Hazzard coming on was a red rag.

Chelsea tactics worked perfectly last night by dragging us into a scrap making us lose focus and momentum.
Although Im slightly pissed that for two games running we have taken the lead only for us to allow the opposition back in, it must be something we are not doing to cause it more than others coming back into it.
So wanted to take the fight to the last day real shame we couldnt get them under pressure because they were never really worried about us as the gap could not be closed.
Having said that most spurs teams would have bottled it back in september so from that point it has been progression in getting into the race to begin with, even if we never looked likely to win it.

Had a few tried to give it the biggun today
Shut down fast with my take on last night

1st half we showed them we can beat them
2nd half we showed them we can batter them too no more soft spurs this team has bight and you pulled its tail
Lets be honest the title went when we failed to overtake them in to 1st when we had the chance then pretty much fizzled out with west brom
Im glad the lads showed them that in future button it
Proud of them all to a man.

Thing is, bottling up to lose from a leading position seemed far fetch this season, not because we are stronger in mentality, (although no doubt we had been getting better on that), but opponents are getting contended to just get a point from us after we led.. That says alot IMHO...

Table doesn't lie, does it.. Teams below us celebrating we being out of the title race sums out for me.. That's how far we have come..

And they will be bored with no European nights for awhile next season so I expect their noises will be even louder.. It will take some use to it, but I'll take that..

Last night shows just how far Chelsea have fallen since last season. Scraping a draw at Stamford Bridge, against a team that has won there for donkeys years, was probably the highlight of their season.

EDIT:
Maybe it comes a close second to hitting the 40 points mark and ensuring safety from relegation :D

Apols if already discussed but has anybody got or seen a vine of the push on Kane immediately before the Hazard 'equaliser'

No replay whatsoever last night and cut out of MOTD of course

Just having a quick look on some social media sites and sub-reddit forums, and it looks like a new chant for us going forward could be "No one likes us. We don't care".:ROFLMAO:

Who'd have thought it about Tottenham Hotspur?
