We're guaranteed 3rd place mate, and get 2nd if we win one of our last two games.

If someone would have said we'd get here at the beginning of the season you'd have laughed your bum off.

We haven't even really gotten going yet and the players have just properly taken on poch's style this season.

The pressure and negativity poured over us to not upset the fairytalers was incredible. We buckled psychologically. It's not that surprising really if you think about it.

Chelsea are shit scared of us, that's why they and their fans reacted as they did. It's actually a compliment, they just don't know it.

We are only at the start. I didn't think we'd be at this stage for another season or so, but we 're already on our way and have CL footy next season.

Put it all into perspective. This has been an amazing season for us.

We keep our players; we strengthen; we have one of the best managers on the planet.

Smile, bitch.:)

I agree 100%. The season has been a runaway success and the future, for the first time, is truly bright/lilywhite.

I will mourn/grieve and moan like a spoilt child about tonight though.

I hate that we lost it against Chelsea of all teams. With a fucking two goals lead as well.

Arrrrgggggghhhhh

Chelsea are already spoilt kids.

We stooped to their level when things didnt go our way and in fact before our goals

The comments from the Chelsea players before the game clearly wound us up. Saying that it looked like we were losing it against WBA a few times last week. I think the pressure of the chase also got to us in the end.

It's been an amazing season for such a young team we are now six points clear of Man City with plus 9 and 3 ahead of the goners with better goal difference and they play each other next weekend man city win we will finish above the goners without kicking another football this season amazing for all of us Spurs fans I for one am on cloud nine onwards and upwards!! And this young side didn't get bullied by them classless tossers tonight brilliant !!

But we play before them..

Surprised at this from Terry:

"It boiled over let’s not get silly and start banning people, it’s a London derby and the fans want to see it."

We've seen similar from Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd sides in the past. And those teams all had a winning mentality, I want that from us going forward.

You need a dirty streak to succeed

They made sure they did the most important thing though. Win the game.

Leicester had to win just one more game before tonight so it was always going to be a long shot. It's a shame we lost it against such a scum bag of a club but hopefully now the pressure is off we can play our normal game and pick up the six points and finish above arse. It's been a great season. Youngest team in the Prem and all that. Last couple of games has shown our decencies - defending set pieces, bit of leadership and a few other options up front and we will be mounting a challenge again. We lost our heads tonight but hopefully that will be a learning experience. My girls are now 7 and 5 and I've been proud introducing them to the Spurs family this season - it's been a delight seeing them celebrate every win with me and I really believe there are great times coming right up. Fair play to Leicester though. They have been one step ahead for a while now so I'm just gonna try and get over my disappointment and enjoy the fact that's it's not the money clubs, arse or dippers this season. We are lacking a bit of squad depth but hopefully Levy will release the purse strings after making a nice profit in last couple of Windows and a CL campaign ahead.

I'm gutted. This is a real victory for Chelsea and their fans.
  • Spurs out of the league title race;
  • Dembele likely to be banned;
  • Losing a 2-0 lead;
  • Still no win at Stamford Bridge since 1990;
  • Toby potentially injured;
I know we battled, but we were naive. Please remind me (and I hope someone can), when have Spurs ever done anything like a combination of the above to a London rival?

Sorry for be being negative, I know we have had an amazing season, but I pray this doesn't lead to third place.

Really?? Wow!! I'm absolutely gutted but jeez that's an overreaction
I'm not one to knee jerk, but to lose our first title chase in most of our lifetimes at Stamford Bridge hurts. Having a 2-0 lead at a place we haven't won at in 26 years and only leaving with a point hurts. The way we played in the last 10, can't say I'm proud tbh!

I think we've been excellent this season as a whole, but tonight just will go down as a low point.

Chin up folks. At least the highlight of your season wasn't a 2-2 draw at home. All to play for next week, its going to be the last time we see WHL quite as it has been. Lets blow the fucking roof off.

Lost our heads, lost the plot and nearly lost the game.
Blew the chance to take this into next week,
blew the chance to make 2nd safe
gave Chelsea exactly what they said they wanted: a Leicester title.
We went 2 up playing controlled football and then threw it away with indiscipline.
Alli last week, Dembele this. Nine bookings disgraceful.
We made a point certainly and then lost two possibly crucial ones.
Embarrassed and ashamed.

Goes without saying but very disappointed as are we all..

Just gonna put the boot into Mason to make me feel a bit better. Came on, showed no composure, showed nothing that could have helped or settled the team and fucked up a golden opportunity..

The only silver lining of us not winning and the title being done now is at least we won't have had that hope all week only to watch Leicester crush Everton.

It would not surprise me at all if Leicester were to lose their last 2 matches. They have achieved what they sought. There has to be a reaction of some kind.

If they do that, I can guarantee you that a number of fuckwits on here (one in particular has been polluting this thread) will give us all the "if only we had beaten Chelsea" rant. Thus completely missing the big picture.

The passion is brilliant and I do agree that it is nice to have a team that cares so much and shows passion. The fact of the matter is though is that how we acted in the 2nd half is not the way to show it. We got too emotional, lost our heads and not only could we have had multiple players sent off but our football struggled as a result. The last 15 minutes of play was so broken up due to fouls and handbags we hardly saw any actual fucking football being played and it obviously lessened our chances of getting another goal, it played right into Chelsea's hands and the game just had no flow whatsoever.

I would hope that we rise above that in future. You say you can't believe that some would be disappointed and I get what you're saying but if for instance every team acted like Chelsea every week we could not act like how we did today in return, it just wouldn't benefit us. We want to show aggression but controlled aggression, not recklessness.

I agree with this point... i think we should have just fucking annihilated them with war tanks and shit.

All this was frustration which has accumulated over the course of the last couple of weeks. They're utter ****s and with ****s you fuck them.

I am proud or players tonight and I think poch inside is ecstatic with our players. He knew the title was lost. I do think he wanted the win though to finish second.
