I think we'd be mad to sell Chumbawumba, I'll let Juande be the judge of that. It wasnt that long ago teams like Chelsea were after him & everyone was worried ?? He aint going no-where.

its funny though that we have a player who has a completely different mental attitude from most pro's, is clearly a talented player but also as clear is that he is his own worst enemy. its weird cos many of us would be sad to see him leave , maybe cos we know there is more reliable and consistent player deep in there, but at spurs we never came close to seeing him.

funnily enough he would be completely diff prospect at ar5ena1, he would become best buddies with toure gallas and adebayor, forming a new crazy gang and all laughing and pointing at sagnas hair..

yep, sadly we were never the right club for chimbonda ,

he is a rare one that one.

Chimbonda has shown in the last half dozen games that he is currently our best left back. Will he be here next season? That depends on whether Ramos thinks Bale is better as a left back or in left midfield,if he uses him as a defender then Chimbo will probably be sold.

I would guess the idea is to play Gilberto LM and Bale LB. If Chimbonda stays he should be used as back up to Hutton, not as a makeshift LB.

And the problems of playing a totally right footed player at LB really get exposed when a top class player like Joe Cole runs at them. All I can say is thank God for Avram Grant. Not playing Cole in the final and then taking him off the other night.

Yeah, but he wanted to go to a 'bigger' club, "in order to win things"

Yep.

I kinda don't blame him why he left as him and Murphy thought that we were in a transitional stage, which in fairness we were, but we achieved some good results very quickly.

I wish that Carr had just stuck around a bit longer and give us a chance, but he never and his career has nose dived.

Chimbonda is a good solid RB. He was beaten far too easily last night, but he was out of position and against Englands most technically gifted player since Gascoigne. Against City he was awesome. Set up one goal, and saved us at the back a couple of times, but again our fans have selective memories...

As you said was never the same after his injury. A world class player who became just another full back when he returned and losing him to Newcastle was no great loss

Chimbonda has everything but doesn't bother using it most of the time.
Such a waste. We'd be better replacing him with a player with a more consistent mentality and attitude.

As said he's cost us so many goals this season, switching off and getting wrong side at set pieces.
