somebody claiming to have info on benteke on villatalk............. handsworthlion Today, 11:20 AM ok, so I have some benteke news, although not ground breaking, we have had 2 bids from spuds, both rejected, and so spuds have been told we want the money UP FRONT. no increments. as lambert knows who he wants to replace CB and he wants it done quickly.

Its good news though if true. If they have a replacement lined up, which is the prudent thing to do anyway, it does suggest that Villa think a deal will be done eventually. In other words we couldn't be that far away from matching something they'll accept.
