I think I’d be scared watching him comeback for us too… every time we’d get a corner, I’d probably start worrying that our 23 might get his hands on the ball ?

I love Christian Eriksen he was my favorite player during his run here. If healthy id welcome him back. We’ve never replaced him. I just worry he’s not what he once was. But on a free? Sure why not? He’ll still have more of an impact than Dele or Ndombele

Who I would really like is James Ward Prowse. Similar player, easily gettable and affordable. Playmaker and takes a mean free kick

I like him too but easily gettable and affordable? Southampton would charge an absolute fortune. He's only recently signed a contract too. Would cost north of 50m.

Christian Eriksen is set for a remarkable return to the Premier League, seven months after a cardiac arrest very nearly claimed his life when playing for Denmark at Euro 2020.

Eriksen, 29, a free agent since being released by Inter Milan last month, has had approaches from several clubs in England’s top flight and hopes to finalise a move to one by the end of the week.

His goal is proving that he is still a high-level player and winning a place in Denmark’s squad for the 2022 World Cup and money is not his priority, making a talent who earned more than £200,000 per week in Italy suddenly affordable.

This had led to interest from a number of teams around Europe but it is to the Premier League that Eriksen, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur, would prefer to return.

His agent, Martin Schoots, told the BBC recently “playing in England again would absolutely feel like coming home for Chris and his family. Christian has been treated exceptionally well by the British public, not only because of his top football skills but also because of his human values.”

Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 match against Finland at Copenhagen’s Parken stadium. He revealed in a recent Danish television interview that he “died for five minutes” before being revived by receiving life-saving treatment on the pitch. After being taken to hospital, he was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) device.
Rules in Italy prohibit clubs from fielding players wearing ICDs, leading to Inter — whom he helped to the 2020-21 Serie A title — reluctantly terminating Eriksen’s contract.
While looking for a new club, Eriksen has been training with FC Chiasso, a third-tier Swiss side a short drive across the border from his home in northern Italy. He has no concerns about playing again and is inspired by the example of his former Ajax team-mate, Daley Blind, who has managed to continue a top level career, including playing in the Champions League, after being fitted with an ICD in 2019.
“My goal is to play in the World Cup in Qatar,” said Eriksen in his interview with the Danish broadcaster, DR1. “I want to play. That’s been my mindset all along. It’s a goal, a dream.

“Whether I’ll be picked is another thing. But it’s my dream to come back I’m sure I can because I don’t feel any different. Physically, Im back in top shape.
“My dream is to rejoin the national team and play at Parken again and prove that it was a one-timer and that it won’t happen again. Again, it’s up to the manager to assess my level. But my heart is not an obstacle.”
