I think this, along with Dortmund's reluctance to sell, is the main sticking point in this transfer. He's a regular starter for Dortmund and he's only 19 years old. Would he give that up to fight with Son, Lucas and potentially Lamela, for a place in our first team?

I haven't seen enough of him to judge whether he's a world beater or not, but even if he is it's not easy to move to a new country and a new league. He could find himself spending a lot of time on the bench.

Regarding the shirt sales (from itk thread) we get a set amount from nike so it wouldn't matter if we sold one shirt or a billion.

Honestly the transfer doesn't make a ton of sense to me so we'll see. I'm from the States and would love to see Pulisic at my favorite club but don't necessarily know if its the best use of our funds.
I think for us it does. He fits the profile Poch is looking for (an alternative to Martial, Zaha) and would be the ideal big name signing to launch or new stadium given the NFL links and his profile. Also he's young and has a ton of potential which will have Levy creaming in his shreddies.

Just don't see why he'd want to risk what he has to come here when he could stay and develop as a guaranteed starter at Dortmund.

Probably because the prem is far more popular in america meaning a lot more money from sponsorship etc...

Have to think long-term on this. Sonny is missing the first 2 months or so of the season. He's also likely going to be away on military duty in 2019 or 2020. Pulisic will already be bedded in the squad at that point so won't have to scramble or buy someone and wait for them to settle.
But can't Lucas/Lamela/Eriksen/Dele be sufficient for a month? Most teams would love that group. This is the last chance for Son to get exemption but aren't South Korea pretty well favored to be able to win at the Asian Games?

People always struggle with this. Why would Nike pay us 50 million or whatever then we get all the money from the kit sales?

Wouldn't say they're pretty well favored, they're one of probably 3-4 teams who I think would be considered "favorites". We all know how these things go when you get to the knock-out rounds.

50 million euro? I'd be all over this deal at that price. He absolutely scared the fuck outta me when he played against us last season. Would love us to sign him

Fair point. I suppose like everything else it comes down to money. He could always just wait a couple of years, though. I doubt the offers will dry up.

We were on NBCSN much more often than not last year.
Every team is on the NBC Gold package a minimum of 3 games per year - the "Gold" package is where they put games nobody wants to watch, and charges $50/year to watch them.

Spurs were in the Gold package the minimum 3 times last season, as required. Every other game was available to watch via NBCSN, NBC or CNBC.
