Good buy for me. Beginning to think we don’t actually need a back up for Kane.. played some of our best football with a false 9.

Don’t know enough about this lad if I’m honest. Is he good enough to push for a starting spot?

I take it he will be a Martial alternative? But gutted about that as he is Prem ready

Buying one player may well affect us moving for multiple others. That's why we have a list of multiple players. It's not just the case that because one player isn't available we just move down the list. It's about how that one individual covers the needs of the squad, and then it's a case of what else we need to fill the other missing criteria.

Not knowing what we expect from either player it's not possible to guess whether he'd still be high on the radar or not should we buy Pulisic, or any other player for that matter.

so in some ways breaking news like this might 1, jolt Man U into offering us Martial knowing he wants out and we might have less interest and they could end up with an unhappy player in their ranks, and 2, also make Villa realise that they best get rid of Grealish or they could be in a right mess if no one else gets involved.

Are we sure about that? Who's place is he taking?

Sure...yes. I think he pushes Sonny every step of the way. His link up play and dribbling would be a tad better than Sonny's. To be fair, Sonny's directness this past season was sublime. In short, he pushes every attacking/wide player to the max..even Christian at times last season ended a rest.

Welcomed quality addition....if, IF, we can get him. Not surprised that Herc mentioned the competion is fierce for this 19 year olds signature.

Do you think he would be a starting player?

Eventually....not sure any of us thought Dele or Sonny would be regularly playing... though under Pochs guile and guidance, absolutely anything is possible. Just ask Kieran Trippier ?

Probably because the prem is far more popular in america meaning a lot more money from sponsorship etc...

More....than the current $800M+ that NBC currently has tied up....

I think folks unberestimate the value in the American sponsorship - thankfully DL recognized it. aka NFL deal. Bloody genius!

Add Pulisic in conjunction with Nike... Jesus wept

*Edit...$1 Billion...I s**t you not

People always struggle with this. Why would Nike pay us 50 million or whatever then we get all the money from the kit sales?

Shirt deals are way more complex than people appreciate. Part of the Pogba deal was financed by Adidas on top of their shirt deal with UTD as their short deal was one where a big fee was paid and Adidas kept 100% of sales. So was in their interest to finance Pogba deal as the return in additional sales was way more. A similar play could work with Nike and Pulisic. They support the deal and reap the benefit of greater US market sales. Mind you if Harry carries on like this at three WC then Nike will be quids in anyway!

I was talking more personal sponsors for pulisic but not arguing the club will benefit.

Honestly the transfer doesn't make a ton of sense to me so we'll see. I'm from the States and would love to see Pulisic at my favorite club but don't necessarily know if its the best use of our funds.

not being funny but has any of the news of what we might do this summer made any sense too you. the only player I think I might of seen in the 4 or 5 I've visited is Martial

Bit shocked to hear he is only 19! Only seen him a couple of times but he impressed me, he is rapid!
Grealish 23 too, love these type of signings that could potentially become worldies.
