don't be stupid, was he average for Fulham? - was he fuck. All we saw today was a glimpse of the way he played for Fulham a lot of the time.

the point that should be staring you in the face, is - it was far too premature to be writing him off so early into his career here.

Played well today. Let's face it, he's been poor so far, so it was good to see a good performance. I hope he can build on this, not everyone settles straight into a new club, even seasoned pro's. Good team performance today, and for once, for 90 minutes. I was worried that at half time we had done our good half and was waiting for them to come onto us, which didnt really happen.

had a golden minute (shot then assist) which could well change his spurs future. different player when confident.

This is the key I think. He was decent until the shot and assist, and from then he looked like a completely different player, he was great after that. Hopefully he'll carry that confidence on.

I am here to admit that I was angered by his selection today. I mentioned elsewhere that I felt as though when he's been on the pitch we've been playing a man down. But, today he proved me wrong and looked like the player we were all hoping we were buying. He made a couple of great opportunities for himself and others, and maybe this is the performance he needed to get him back into his groove.

If he can play as he did today over the course of the rest of the season, we might just be alright in the long run. Very impressive and hats off to you, Deuce.

Pleased for him. Ths is a big move for him, his last chance to play at higher level etc. He's done the biz, in a few positions, for a few yrs now in this league. Hopefully he can find that form as he becomes more comfortable in the squad/club. He'll be a brilliant squad player then.

A very iffy start to his time here but sometimes that's all it is. It's not a given that his time here will be for nought and he moves on quickly. Not every player hits the ground running.

We'll see I guess. I hope he does push on from here though. For the good of THFC, if nothing else.

The quick thinking - by everyone involved - but especially Deuce who had obviously been finding it hard so far in the build up to the third goal was most encouraging. A bit of nouse being shown, no panicking etc. Exactly what we've been missing.

But even today and all other games he look clumsy and have 200toches on the ball. I think Duce have spent more time this season on the floor and moaning than play fotball actually. would be happy if he take the next plane back to U.S. There he can play basketball or someything that maby he is good at ??

And his performances with the US National Team. I'm a huge US supporter, and I was skeptical this was the right move for Clint when we signed him. However, he's been playing as a wide forward with the USMNT as Jurgen uses the 4-3-3 and I think he would be very successful there if we were to make that switch.

Glad that Clint finally looked comfortable, couldn't expect him to settle right in immediately and succeed in a new formation with a whole new team. It will get better.

Funny because the player you have as your username couldn't clear the first man on corners/set pieces today and was essentially useless. But I'll still support him because I root for Spurs. Maybe you should support Clint too.

I support the players that gives 110% for the )TEAM).like Tom does. Duce can`t handle a ball laying on the floor and just jog around in defence makes Sandros and Toms game a living hell in the middle. You need to stop focus on one single player dude this is a team sport.

Clint jogging in defense is pretty similar to Hudd sprinting on defense. And you're the one focusing on one player calling Dempsey shit.

Agree with some of the posters here that he needs to be consistent. The most pleasing thing for me was that the players seemed to be comfortable in their roles and knew what was required. Perhaps AVB's game strategy is now being realised? I thought we lost it before half time and let them back in when they didnt deserve it. The second half performance was good though and it was a pity they pulled one back because it was hardly deserved.
