His chip to set up Bale was extremely good, if Van Der Vaart had done that we would have all been collectively creaming our pants, it required great vision and technique and its something I couldn't ever imagine Lennon pulling off for example

Credit where credit is due, he's come in to a team that isn't set up for him like at Fulham and he's been tired after playing for the States and not really settled to date (and frankly he has looked shit) but yesterday was a much better performance.

Its still just one game but we should all surely be encouraged by the way he played and the things he did (two assists.....well roles in two goals is not to be sniffed at) and if he can put a run of decent performances together while Ade is out a lot of us (not least myself) will happily be eating humble pie

Dempsey is a good player. The guy came in last minute of the window, not only missing our pre.season but didnt participate in fulhams neither so bound to be a little rusty.
On this board it seems like the cool thing to do is rip into a few selected players instead of getting behind them if they have a slow start, horrible trend this bandwagon.

If he look shit in a year you lot have a case, but way to early to hang him already. Bale, bae and sandro didnt exactly deliver from first day either.
