Not so sure, highly doubt he'd be thrown straight in. If he doesn't go out on loan then he might be eased in, think the same with Alli. Just look at Kane last year for reference.
Being eased in IS being part of the squad, though.
I wasn't suggesting that we'd play 9 attackers at once.
All though... :sneaky:

Alli will 100% not be loaned out. It is one of the reasons/conditions he chose us over Pool. On top of that he has been exceptional in training so far. I think personally he will get a lot more game time than many fans think.

I dont usually base my opinions of a player on a YouTube video because editing can play tricks with the mind but I just looked at a video where njie played vs bordeax and the video showed all his touches. He didn't look great. He lost the ball a lot and defenders were able to cleanly tackle him nearly all the time and in didnt seem as pacey as I was led to believe.

Now I know its silly to base your opinion on one video but this shows what he is like for one whole game. Most of our average players could put together a season highlights video and look good.

If we signed him we wouldn't be getting 12 goals a season imo he would need to drastically improve from that video. I hope it was an off day

What would be the point of sending Ali on loan? He's earned his stripes last season as player of the year.

Can't believe I am having to say this again, but, this is the second thread I've started in here and i have a 100% strike rate for players signing. This is nailed on.

You're welcome

Anyone who watched the preseason games can tell Alli is going to be a big part of the squad. Looks near enough on Bentaleb and Mason's level already.

As for N'Jie, I'm a Berahino and Werner guy but also find this guy as a very interesting proposition. The stats analysis shows a very productive player. Could see us going for him especially if we are still going down the moneyball route...

Pochettino gave debut to Mason in the library. From what I have seen from Alli in preseason, won't be surprised if he is given PL debut at Old Trafford

Unless Mason is fully fit now, I hope he gives Alli his debut at United, because from what I've seen of Dier so far he would get worked over by their midfield.

I can only see Aulas doing a deal with us if he feels he's getting the much better end of the deal this time around.

I hear what you're saying but surely you wouldn't also rule a player out based on the highlights from just one game?

Trust me, the kid is very talented and only 21 years old. He would be a good signing.

Spurs once nearly signed Samuel Eto'o when he was still playing for Mallorca. If we had I think it could have been huge for this club. Don't get me wrong, not saying N'Jie is the next Eto'o necessarily but I honestly think he has a bright future.

Just watched this video, seems to be the best one showcasing his play from last season.

What stands out to me is that he's popping up on either flank and looks perfectly happy either way.

Also, at times when he could shoot he is unselfish and sliding nice passes into Lacazette to get assists instead.

Equally though, the first goal in the video shows him through the middle, beating the offside trap and rounding the keeper with confidence.

There are other lovely finishes throughout (2 min 45ish a good example).

Pace to burn. Appreciate he'll have things to work on and improve but for a reported 10.5 million quid, I think he'd be a great addition.

I disagree with that view, it looks to me very likely that he will be a part of our squad. Of course, if a really tempting loan offers comes in, I'm sure they'd go for it.
Definitely. His qualities are obvious. I think we should keep him in and build him right into things this season and have him around getting the feel of the first team and getting PL minutes, cups and euro. Will be a great experience for him.

This guy is so mature for his age and his confidence is continuing to grow. It's just a matter of time with him before he's at the heart of the squad.

By the time our stadium is done we will have a fantastic team with our youth product playing the key role. If the fans could only look past their unrealistic expectation for just a couple more seasons....

I just think it would be cool as fuck to have a player called Clinton

You must have been a huge fan of Clinton Dempsey then and have his first name on a few Spurs shirts  And, if you haven't done it already, name your - eventual - son "Clinton"...

Probably off of the back of the same l'equipe report but sounds like they don't want to give him more money. Could just be agent stuff I guess?

@andybrassell: On other hand, Lyon seem to be getting closer to making Clinton N'Jie deal with Spurs (c.€15m). Didn't want to give him big raise.
So you mean his contract negotiations that involved using us to get him more money went something like this?:
