They are generally much better than the tabloids - but I wouldn't call most reporters as ITK. I'm not sure Poch has recognised media followers to the same extent as AVB had either

Think that was Jason Burt who had a good relationship with AVB and seemed to have good info. The Telegraph is still the most reliable of the British newspapers though when it comes to transfers imo

Come to the conclusion, though I'd still prefer a Kramer/Witsel calibre player, I'd be happy enough with McCarthy as our realistic DM/CM signing. Add someone like Berahino as the pragmatic backup CF, used to league and fits the bill, then hopefully grab that one last player, someone to really add some dynamism and sparkle on when on the ball, for that either Werner, Njie, Ntep, or after this mornings media story, Pato.

He isn't a CDM he is a box to box player, so his peak will be a lot sooner than your average CDM.

There's little doubt in my mind that Werner is the better footballer at the moment, but both players seem to have the sort of searing pace that could give teams all sort of headaches. I'd like both players!

N'Jie does offer the threat in behind and the kind of off-ball movement that we're crying out for however. This video gives an example of that. Watch how at 2.18 he angles his run along the defensive line and then accelerates away. There ain't no catching him.

Can't blame you. I do something more stupid and when we're rumoured with a player I like in real life I often start a new career mode on FIFA and sign them. Then they usually sign a new contract with their current club or move somewhere else then I'm fucked

I think both the telegraph and times are reporting we are bidding for him so I suspect it's true.

Hope we are not gonna mess around with this deal. Bidding 7m is pointless and will get turned down flat. Maybe 10m plus add ins will be enough. Then we will have to convince the player. If there is a deal to be done I can see it dragging on until late August
