yea, seen that. and yet also seeing vids uploaded and its decent considering its recorded on a phone
I went to a big gig at the O2 a few months ago. The recording on the phone sounded much clearer than how it actually did to my ears in the venue. Made it much clearer. Removed the reverby and booming bass. I expect being at the back if the venue will sound better.

Saw plenty of GnR fans an the train down from Victoria to Brighton last night. I’d just seen LCD Soundsystem and the sound at Brixton Academy ain’t great either. Loud enough but you could barely make out what James Murphy was singing. Still a great gig though - everyone knew the words already .

Cocky bastard in Block 502 last night. Stripped off, asked his wife to take a photo of him... I sussed what he was up to.

'You've got some balls fella... turning up here wearing that shit...'

'Got more balls than your team thats for sure... you looking forward to football on Thursday nights?'

Wife told me to behave... she took herself and the sister-in-law off to the bar while me and the brother-in-law discussed the fellas bravery.

He disappeared shortly afterwards and came back fully covered. Job done.

As for the sound, was bloody awful up in 502. The acoustics are great for football but not for gigs.

Saw GnR from the golden circle in the OS in 2017 and the sound was bloody awesome.

Tbh I don’t see a problem with him turning up in his Arsenal shirt to a GnR gig

This sound thing is surely a significant concern. If it gets a bad name as a concert venue that's a major revenue stream gone.

I’ve read a few tweets from people during both gigs moaning about the sound - but a hell of a lot more post gig saying how amazing it was (yesterdays).

It’s a concern about the sound, if it’s the same with the GaGa shows then it’s a worry. Then again the stadium is such a money-spinner, at the end of the day that’s all that matters.

It's probably the first time he's wore it to a full stadium

I guess with any open air venue, the wind carries the sound and it can fade in and out a bit. Hopefully it was just that.

I saw them at the spammers ground but I was so drunk I thought I lost my tickets, so bought another pair off a tout, only to find the originals in my arse pocket the next day ??

I have no idea why people who want to hear a band go to a massive event where there is no intimacy and the sound will be terrible
Agreed. The best gigs I've been to have always been those In small venues. Sound has much more impact, close to the performer and you just feel much more connected.

Having said that when I saw Rammstein in 2012 they blew the roof off, and that was a stadium venue.

Rammstein have stadium gigs nailed to be fair, imagine how epic they would be at our ground.
Like three different mates of mine have been to them separately over the last 10 days. So fucking jealous, they look amazing live.

I’m not even a big fan of them but whenever I watch a video of their gigs I just wish I was there, says a lot.

No me either. Sure I like their stuff, I think it’s good but I’m not some super fan. But the gigs just look so intense.
