Congrats to Andy Murray - 5 Titles this year!

Blimey! Eek It's going pretty well for the lad. He's not such a miserable git anymore, and seems to have matured into a fine athlete and excellent Tennis player, able to withstand the rigours of the gruelling ATP Tour.

Tim Henman won in total 11 career titles on the Tour, Greg Rusedski slightly less, so already the Scot is doing considerably better in winning more titles in one year than any other Brit before him, and he's still early 20s.

Congrats to him. :clap:

However, having now won nearly 2 mill in prize money - that's pounds sterling - just this year, and minus endorsements, I hope he's given back all the LTA dosh that was ploughed his way, as it's needed in the local parks and sports centres so kids can afford to play and hopefully we'll have some future Andy Murrays.

Though we'd better send them to Spain to be trained aswell.

I said early in his career that I thought he would win a few majors during his career and nothing I've seen has changed that opinion. He's better already than Henman or Rusedski ever were imo.

Anyone that can stand up to Federer and Nadal on a regular basis and beat them is good for tennis.

Nadal and many others this week have stated that Murray is probably the worlds best player at the moment.

@ Lily Lane: Rusedski won 15 career titles according to the ATP website. He also got to the US open final. I think Murray though is better than both him and Henman ever were, and hes gona get even better.

he is getting better, and much stronger. I did worry that he wouldn't be strong enough physically to compete at the highest level, but he has matured bloody well.

Hope he wins Wimbledon this year, would be fucking amazing!
