This is so wrong and the crux of our problems. The race for 1st may have eventually come down to two but the race for 2nd had a much wider participation.

The problem is that the fans assumed 2nd was a foregone conclusion when it wasn't at all.

It was just a light hearted quip to lighten the mood. We choked big time but not too much damage done if our young team (including management) learn from it.

I'm not having a go, because I expected this season to be difficult and I knew we Poch has said very clearly in numerous PC that he had the chance to sign players but he'd rather wait to get exactly who he wants. Those looking to criticise Levy at every opportunity always seem to overlook this fact. Had he gone out and bought anyway he'd have been getting the same amount of grief for not backing his manager.

He's not gonna say at the start or middle of a season to mug the director off is he? Hes a smart man. As soon as 3rd was done he bemoaned the lack of options.

You are tight we exceeded expectations, its great, but hindsight tells us that for the 6th year running we spent zero or less on players because Levy who you are so ready to defend wants to cruise to a new stadium, and ultimately a sale of the club for massive massive money. That is his number 1 target.

Things like good seasons with no spend just bring his goal closer, more quickly.

More worringly, it seems the players felt the same.

Fuck it who gives a shit what any Arsenal fans thinks/says they can't say anything they haven't said before in the last 20 years. Put it on the slate with the rest of the crap, it's still better than the 90s

I have done an awful lot of criticising him in the past mate, don't worry. I just don't believe what has happened regarding the last few weeks can be levelled at him in the same way. In fact I think he has been very good for the whole club in the last few years. Made a bucket load of mistakes early on, some of them proper howlers but lets face it we have been very competitive whilst funding a shiney new stadium. We won't have close to the debt the scum had after the effeminate's was built. As Levy has said countless times we need the extra revenue a bigger ground will bring in order to keep on the coat tails of the sky 4. No point in bringing in all that extra mullah, if all it's going to do is pay off a huge debt for the next few years.

Unfortunatley though the last few games have thrown up old traits from the past like the fragile mentality and the fold up of today, to lose home and away and be trashed in one of them by relegated fodder is scandolous but also very spursy.
Im sure the future will bring better but the players will need to stay more focused and the club will need to provide more quality.
Thank fuck the season ended today otherwise a few more games and we may have dropped out of the top four.

Said it right from the start mate, experience was going to be our downfall and the closer we got the more nervous we became and we struggled. Next season a lot of these lads will be another year older and wiser and many of them will have played their first major international tournament. They are learning as the go, and I'm sure they will be better for it next season.

This fucking thread is as bad as the mind the gap shit

In fact it's worse because whoever thought it was a good idea to start it should have known better having lived through the mind the gap debacle

It actually epitomises what has been wrong with Spurs for many years. Premature gloating and believing our own hype before we've actually achieved anything.

Forget talking the talk and just walk the fucking walk instead.

I'd also add that's why I can't bear the 'Let's all laugh at' various clubs threads, because as usual they have the last laugh.

Has this been discussed yet?
Only suggestion for me is St Christopher's Day in honour of the patron saint of travellers (and a polite way of reminding them of their south london roots). Ideally it could be a lot more derogatory but i cant think of anything at the moment.
Didn't see it coming but happy to declare this as the worst post ever. Only surprise was that I wasn't outed by MP in the post match interview yesterday but i still expect to see Argentinian tank rolling up my lawn later today and will take it in the chin, both barrels. Que Viva los Spurs!!

It is threads like this, why every fucking fn in the country laughs at us and gets behind the other team.

The perennial under achievers.
Yet we act like we are over achievers.

We are blind to what we actually are, often worse than RAWK by a long night way!

Wow dude- coming on here again takes balls; I thought you'd be in hiding, holed up in an apartment somewhere in Moscow, explaining the nuances of soccer to your new bestie, Edward Snowden.
