For me him and Mourinho have been on about us in the media all this week its simple they are just worried we are a threat now and they know it.

Trying to make us panic and disrupt our harmony.

Ask yourself, if you were a manager of a team spending stupid amounts of money on transfers and wages, the thought of finishing behind which top 6 team would frighten you the most

I don't mind Conte, and I certainly think he's got a point. Without doubt if this was the other way around there'd be a collective hard-on here for how Poch was 'being clever' etc. Regardless, there's nothing here to get worked up about.

It's a new way for them to try and unsettle some of our players.
If other managers question the ambition of the club, eventually that will seep through into our squad.
They will see other teams strengthening now, but probably aren't too concerned. The problem comes if we fail to invest, and finish outside top 4 - that will be when players seriously question things.
For now it's not an issue though, hopefully.

Everything about that vile club is fake and classless - from that ridiculous rug on his own head right down to the fickle glory hunting fans who despite their success still struggle to sell out their Wembley allocations.
Instead of talking about other clubs' players he should be more concerned about getting his own house in order and questioning why it was necessary to send one of his home from a pre season tour after insulting a whole nation. Where Chelsea is concerned though it was not a case of doing the right thing, more to save face and protect revenue from an important market.

There's a heavy dose of West Ham about this statement. Morata and Batsuyai must be feeling well chuffed. Cheers boss...

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Thank goodness we have a manager who doesn't have time to engage in all that crap.

Lots of people saying that Poch is a gent and wouldn't say anything back to Conte... maybe, but you're forgetting he's Argentinian and was a 'take no shit' player back in the day and is the same in management.

He might not say 'Conte should shut up' in public but believe me, Conte will be waking up next to a horse's head tomorrow morning. He'll then run downstairs screaming, only to find Poch ploughing his missus in the living room, while Poch stares at him intensely saying 'You want Kane, come and get Kane' before pulling out of his missus and spraying his seed all over Conte's fake hair, in a spermicidal machine gun fashion. Poch then throws a fiver on the floor (an old five pound note, she can't even use it any more), thanks the missus, walks over to a spunk sodden Conte and says 'you talk about Spurs again, I'll ruin your whore mother' and calmly walks out the door. Conte looks at his wife and shouts 'Mamma Mia spaghettio hoops Pavarotti' and other Italian stereotypes, before whimpering 'how could you'. His wife replies 'it's Pochettino, how could I not'?

Conte's next interview with SSN starts with him wishing Chelsea could do things the Spurs way.

The point is he misunderstood Levy's criticism of unsustainable transfer spending - you can't spend more than you earn. Where is FFP after all?
Conte does not pay for ambitions but Levy does. So he confused good financial management with lack of ambitions. Tha's how I see it.
He should shut up and concentrate on his club football, and leave money matters to professionals.

FFP says you can spend more than you earn. Chelsea have recouped a fair bit this window, but the Manc clubs, particularly City , will be attracting attention. And probably couldn't do the same again next year unless they sell a Tevez or two. Levys not taking a stand, he's making money for ENIC.

Anyway, let me also join in by saying Chelsea are an abomination, and Conte is not quite the half decent egg some of you thought he was.

Really? It's not that difficult if you just listen to what the club chairman and manager are telling you every time they comment on it.
I've listened to many managers say many things about a plethora of expectations. What's your expectation for next season? Personally I have no idea....top 4 maybe, FA cup final, CL quarter final. I just don't know. Doesn't mean I don't dream.
