Could this just be a thinly veiled message to Abramovich about the way things are being done at Spurs and to buy himself a bit of time if Chelsea aren't cruising at the top of the league and CL a couple of months into the season?

I really don't think he is worried about us nor any of the big hitters to be honest, yes we are good but they won't be too concerned.

There is no context to this. No indication of what the original questions were to illicit such a response.

I doubt he chose to single us out when, say, Man Utd have been spending silly money and are probably more of an immediate attention grabbing concern.

At the end of the day, who cares anyway. We will be in the top 4-5 places and will give all the big teams a run for their money.
