Seems he has burnt his bridges with Harry unless I am missing something. Guessing Harry will need to bring in someone to replace him if we can't recall Naughton. Hope he doesn't rely on playing Kaboul there. Hard to bring someone in though who will be willing to try and get past Walker and if they did it would be a shame to see Walkers progress limited.

What has he said? He didn't play well in europa league although match fitness was short. So has had a bit of gametime.

He certainly needs to be more patient than he has been. Walker has been playing well and he needs to just wait.

Read an interview saying he wanted to go if he was a back up. Not in the squad last few weeks (I think). Assumed was a sign

I think there is a back up already in place tbh. Adam Smith, is on loan to MK dons. Is a class apart in that team (scoring wonder goals) and is now England U21.

I would be a little suspect of having the 2 kyles as our right backs as they are both very similar players and whilst it would be good having like for like substitutes, we might need someone a little more solid defensively for tight games or tough away games especially if we are going to be in the CL next year....

Think Walker is better offensively, and Naughton is better defensively.

Walker, Naughton, Smith, Kaboul if we need him. I think we are okay to let Charlie go, but if we don't recall Smith for the rest of the season we better have a 24hr emergency recall clause.

I will admit now I've not seen Naughton play much or at all, but considering Kyle Walker has played at cb and Naughton's two positions being rb and rw I logically came to the conclusion that Walker is better defensively.

But I may well be wrong, oh well I'll have to start watching norwich more often!

Hope we don't see him play again as it means Walker would have been injured! Charlie is and personally I don't believe has been good enough for where we are going as a team. Don't know if January is the time to get a replacment though so can't see him going just yet.

Kyle Naughton is a good player and shouldn't be overlooked. If we can keep Charlie until the end of the season I'd have Naughton back as Walker's cover. That way we don't change the dynamic of the team if we rotate them.

And I must admit I am going solely on Naughton's few appearances in our shirt and the impression I got that he looked reasonably composed in defence :grin:
