I was in Block 35 last night and there was a guy screaming and shouting gibberish for most of the game. He abused the little Tbilisi contingent, which I dislike, since they had travelled 3000 whatever miles to follow their team (ok maybe there were some London dwellers in there too, but still) shouting "I'll cut ya" and using the C-word. It was pretty unpleasant and boorish.

Although he was randomly shouting "go on Gerald" at our players, which whilst being strange was pretty amusing I must admit.

Did anyone hear him?

Anyone hear the kid in block 32 mess up his attempt to get a chant started last night. Fair play having a go but it was so funny.

there are some really good ideas floating around here fellas, but we need to affect REAL CHANGE with the singing somehow. for a top 3 team full of young superstars in the making we HAVE to do better than:

Sol-dado.....oooooo-oooooooh
Sol-dado.....oooooo-oooooooh

La-mela.....oooooo-oooooooh
La-mela.....oooooo-oooooooh

Paul-inho.....oooooo-oooooooh
Paul-inho.....oooooo-oooooooh

etc

it's embarrassing. plus it makes us look thick as sh*t. please do what you can to get some new chants in

that is all.

And in the daily ITK discussion thread, too... brilliant suggestion of singing to the tune of Lola by the Kinks..
Lamela. La La La Lamela...

So two ringing renditions of Stand Up If You Hate Arsenal already. No wonder they dont sing at the Emptycrates, we do it for them - we sing about them more than our own team.

Can somebody tell me what this chant achieves exactly, other than show how obsessed by our inferiority complex we are? It makes me cringe.

How about we sing about Spurs?

The reason it was sung was because the stewards kept telling people to sit down, and in most cases these days, this is why it is sung.

Not a dig or anything despite how this may come off but those saying the atmosphere is awful and the songs are crap, well what chants did you start off then?

Wish WHL was as intense as the places in the video below. Instead of the occassional groans and long periods of silence

Think the difference is those fans seem to understand it's supposed to be fun watching your team and supporting them. Were as we are all stressed like we are watching 11 men decide the future of the Human Race

We wouldn't be able to do that 'due to health & Safety reasons' <--------- Which is a load of BS!! I have tried to stand in front of spurs fans before to get us singing and stewards told me to calm down or be escorted out!!!

I think we are at crossed wires . I make no particular comment on the atmosphere and our song collection. (though the he comes from blah blah blah one could do with a rest)

I just find it disappointing that we spend so much energy singing the name of our hated rival. These are heady times, surely we have more pro Spurs songs that warrant an airing as opposed to the occasional clipped rendition between 'stand up if you hate arsenals'.

Ok, perhaps last night it was in response to over zealous stewarding, i can appreciate the humour in that and have taken part myself, but still, even then we could have a stand up if you love tottenham instead. But its certainly not only in these situations its sung.

Maybe its just me, i just dont like to be bellowing the name of Arsenal inside White Hart Lane in whatever context. Certainly not going to grace them with the effort of standing up for them.
