Fuck the boxing.

Up again at 4am, this is the crucual day. The whole series now rests on who has one bad session.

Hopefully the fight will start before 4! Doubt it will last long anyway. Maybe I'll record and watch in the lunch break!

Looking forward to the morning session - and you are spot on about it being crucial - come on Ali Cook!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like the way England are batting at the moment. Going along at about one run per over isn't enough. Seems to me to be lengthening the game.

Does seems a bit odd. They seem to be going for the safety first option which will be dangerous if wickets start to tumble.

Oh and why did India declare just short of England's total?

I guess its because India need to win the game. The last pair might have added another 10 or 20 but used up a few overs in doing so. I can understand the reasoning, but England have been playing into their hands IMO. Thankfully they seem to have upped the scoring rate in the last three overs.

I guess you are right, but with Trott at the crease I can't see the run rate going up anytime soon.

I think England need to be careful not to get too bogged down - need to score a bit quicker to get the runs on the board - still nervous - a series win in India if it happens will be a fantastic achievement.

I'm shocked at the pitch that has been prepared though - makes no sense to me

This is starting to not look good. You always know when KP isn't going to last long as he seems to have a few 'close calls' just before getting out. It's right in the balance now. A couple of wickets and it's all over.

Bell & Trott played well, I think all three results are still possible with an India win or a draw looking most likely. A decent morning session and we should be there. If we manage to do that, India have got no option but to give the run chase a go, on a pitch that's hard to score freely on.

Well I don't mind how England are batting really, This pitch isn't one where you can score freely and we lost most of our wickets in the first innings by trying to up the tempo. If we can get 300 and take up one and a half session doing it, we'll take the series.

Sensible stuff today, took time out of the game and didn't lose too many wickets. Need to bat until well into the afternoon session tomorrow though, otherwise any sniff of a chance and you know some of their players will just come out and throw the kitchen sink at it, no matter if the pitch has been a difficult one to score on so far.
