Obviously the club see it as vital but I’m fatigued by it already and it’s only been a few years of doing it. This whole have to get top 4 so we get knocked out in CL and then strive to get top 4 so get knocked out of CL doesn’t excite me at all. The myth of the past that you need it to attract signings has died too. Keeping players too means nothing as CL or not you lose players if Barca or Madrid come in for them. Now I’ve seen Madrid, Messi and Barca against us I don’t see the hype personally unless we’re actually going into it trying to win it.
So short sighted mate, you lose your players to Real Madrid etc if they want to leave.
Getting CL for the last few years means Kane/Alli etc don't want to leave.
If you think they're sticking around if we get 6th and an FA Cup winners medal then you're mental.
Its paramount to these players, the FA Cup means a lot more to fans than anyone else.

Seems we’re relying solely on Oliver Skipp to provide any type of creativity from this line up.

quite an interesting game. After seeing the line up again it’s not as bad as I thought. KWP at left back isn’t something I like much though.

Same here. Been saying for years - awarded it a champions league place and the magic will return!

Surely for fans seeing their team lift a trophy is the reward? Seeing them parade it afterwards. It’s only the clubs and managers that are lessening the magic by caring more about finishing a place higher in league. Plenty of fans of clubs who haven’t won anything for decades moan yearly at their club not taking it seriously. Adding a CL reward would make no difference as clubs would still look at recent history and see that very rarely does a top club not end up winning it (not us though). They’d still rotate for the magic of finishing 9th instead of 12th.

It amazes me how a team like palace won't put a full strength team out in this cup. I suppose just finishing mid table is the highlight of a teams season.
