Daniel Levy admits to fans he lost sight of the 'club's DNA'

That's right regarding fans wanting those guys out, and he's a bigger fucking idiot than even I think he is if your second point is true. Ultimately, the buck stops with him for his dumb decisions and lack of staying power with successful managers. But there are plenty of fans that call for change for change's sake too.
I think that Poch was waiting for the sack in the end anyway. His demeanour had totally changed over the last couple of seasons.

Yep agreed. This nonsense about never sacking Poch isnt on. Of course he should've been backed but at the time of the start of that season, he had to go. I still stand by we needed a manager to get us over the line with silverware. Hindsight says we should've gone for an Ancelotti or an Allegri over Mourinho.

Yeah, true. I would dare to suggest however that maybe everything that has happened with appointing Jose and the ESL debacle might have created a chain reaction which could actually end up with something more fundamentally positive than a couple of half decent seasons under a manager other than Jose. Obviously we will have to see what transpires in the close season.

It's not just on the football side, he's forgotten that we are fans and only sees us as cashcows.

It’s not hindsight. People were blinded by Mourinho’s CV thinking ‘I’ll have some of that’ when there was plenty of evidence to show it was likely to go the other way. So many people were saying they were prepared to put up with the shit that was coming for the gamble of winning a trophy. Well, we lost the bet. And we’re left with the shit. Again, that’s down to Levy. So many years of short changing the football side of the club meant we sold our soul in desperation.

Time will tell, but he’s running out. The fans may not be able to force him out but no one wants to see an escalation of the unrest we have currently. It’s tearing the club apart.
Think the unrest is serving the purpose of actually forcing Levy to address the football "priorities" he admits to neglecting. It's not nice to see or pleasant for any of us as fans but think it's necessary for the person with ultimate control to receive that message so that meaningful change can happen.

It's good you still stand by that, I suppose, but it's terrible judgement. It was a terrible decision. And binning the guy with consecutive top 4s for dinoball "to get over the line" led to predictably incoherent shitshows and the mire we find ourselves in.

We could be many years now trying to get back to the line we were at with Poch, let alone getting over it.

Make you right mate. I just think hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Levy has just one more throw of the dice.
Hopefully, early next week ,he will announce a manager who we all consider a very good appointment .Hopefully,he will announce a new Director of Football, Rangnick or Campos would be ideal. He should then step back from being the main man as regarding the running of the club and let people who know what they are doing just get on with it.

It's all moot but I think Poch needed to go. As has been said he had turned into a right old grump, and seemed to be isolating himself towards the end. Really he should have gone after the CL final. His heart wasn't in it anymore. It wasn't just the team that was gassed out. He was too.

But replacing him with Mourinho was a diabolical decision, and a massive gamble. Everyone and their mother knows how Jose manages.

The unrest won't stop there though I have been informed that when the NFL start's up there will protests and anti enic abuse at those games.
So I'm afraid that the wheels are in motion for a relentless all out assault on levy and enic themselves , so I don't think any new manager appointment or a net spend of 5m is going to change much.

Interesting statement. I fail to recall another moment in his tenure where he's openly admitted he has lost focus on our brand of football. Could truly be a sign of things to come...hopefully with a DOF

If we're sat top of the table in October with a new backroom and freshened playing staff ….I highly doubt it

I highly doubt we will be top but you don't know the people involved mate

Sorry Shelf...you lost me, people involved? I agree, highly unlikely we'll be top, though I want to remain optimistic for whomever is incoming (hopefully a DOF and coach)

Sorry mate might be at crossed purposes I meant the people involved in the protests many are terrace legends back in the day they won't back down from anything.
As for the team I just don't know anymore I really struggle to feel anything for the club hopefully it will be good but I suspect it won't.
The level of cash needed to invest isn't there so I expect more wanky Doherty and aurier type signings.
I trust you are looking forward to it by the sound of your optimism which I say good for you.
