Milner will almost certainly be offered a new City contract, and Lacazette will go to one of the top clubs.

Milner was offered a contract about a month ago that he's yet to sign, and that pellegrini is only "hopeful" he will sign. Sounds to me like he's taking his time to assess options and/or make playing time demands from City.

Ings is reportedly tempted to leave Burnley now rather than in the summer as he's concerned Spurs will move onto other targets by then.

Same reporter said Naughton was going to Swansea for 4m, yet Monk said he had no intention of signing him, so I would ignore unfortunately.

Doubt Leicester is bidding 8m for Ings when they just signed Kramaric. Maybe it was either/or and since they tied of Kramaric that's just an old bid.

Not necessarily. Monk might be playing it cute. Everyone in world football is aware of the windfall they're about to receive.

If serious negotiations are yet to start he's hardly going to sound like he's desperate to get him.

Levy probably loves to move the goal posts.

Hand on heart who here thinks Ings would improve our 1st team?

It's a squad game. Would he improve our squad? Yes. Would he be a better options than Ade, RS, Lennon, Paulinho and Townsend? Yes. Does he have potential to improve beyond where he is currently at? Yes. Does he seem like a Poch player? Yes.

All more valid and important questions IMO.

I'm pretty sure Sky said they did it before the Kramaric stuff started- they probably expected Kramaric to go to Chelsea.

If it's true we're making a serious bid now, we should pressure him by saying "it's now or never, we may move on to other targets before tbe summmer." Even it's all bollocks and we still look at him summer.

If we're going to battle in four fronts, we need a mobile, hard working striker who'll buy in to the Poch vision, and back up Kane, who can't do it all himself. Soldado and Adebayor for differing reasons don't fit the bill.

Allowing Vokes to score on Monday was a good start in making the loss of Ings more palatable to Burnley!
We could follow this up by offering them some loans, but sadly Burnley might not be glamorous enough for Adebayor, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue, Kaboul or Lennon.
With the injuries they've had at centre back Vejkovic could be useful to them for the rest of the season. And he should get valuable premier league experience.
Ings and Rabiot(loan)/Delph in with at least two departures seems realistic.

I think loaning Burnley Dier as a sweetner for any Ings deal is worth exploring, it would be beneficial for all parties

They just signed Keane from Man U on a permanent, so I don't think they'd be as interested. But that's not a bad idea at all otherwise.

I do think Levy should offer some loan guarantees in the future. They aren't going to want loanees this season as it's more important they find consistency to stay alive in the second half (plus throwing your kids into that stress isn't great), but next season we should promise them first choice on several, including some of our older ones if they do survive but several of the more promising ones should they go down. That guarantee in numbers may push them over the edge as it adds to the stakes for taking on the gamble.

Isn't there a problem with his visa ? If so they will not have signed him yet until that is sorted if it can be sorted.

Would be great loans for the likes of Veljkovic & Pritchard next season if they continue to play Premier League football. Possibly Fredericks too.

Could see Swansea going after Ings if Bony to Man City goes through. I doubt Ings will move in Jan but he'd be a great signing for us if we could pull it off. They would need some loans from us to make it work though and I can't see any of our lot being impressed with a spell at Turf Moor. The thought of Adebayor up there with 14 pairs of gloves on makes me smile.

Seems like the broadsheets are saying he's going to stay at burnley until the summer. I guess things can change between now and the end of the window.

If we want him our best bet might be to get the player to force through the move if indeed he is worried about missing out on signing for us should we move onto other targets in the summer.

All this London talk. To be fair it's a shit hole. Couldn't wait to move away from it...

The north though...:inpain:

It's all down to an individual. I grew up (debatable) in the North West, in an area where there was plenty of open space and forests to go biking and so on, whilst having key motorways that meant I was a 15 min drive/bus journey away from all the shops, plus 30 mins away from main cities.

I get a feeling of claustrophobia in London, and a sense that it's just like a big old supply cupboard zone for shops, offices and people.

If a person grew up in a City, they'd be freaked out/bored by the countryside. There's no one right answer, if you ask me, and it's down to the person.

Maybe the opposite? Maybe we could loan the likes of Naughton and Lennon to Burnley or WBA?
