I think the lack of an announcement if this transfer is true is because there's a transfer embargo placed on Leeds until the end of this month I'm pretty certain. So until that time he's a Leeds player even if he is set to leave Leeds.

From what I have gathered from this thread he sounds very promising especially if he is apparently as quick as / quicker than lennon.

Ok he is rumoured to have a bit of an attitude problem, but hey, if that attitude and aggression can be managed correctly it is not going to hurt anyone (maybe the opposition) to have an agressive midfielder in our ranks who oppo fear.

Actually Chelsea were in for him but backed off or they'd have had to face a charge of tapping up. He is hot property and I can see why he'd want to come to us with our facilities for promoting youth, young first team and Parret/Porrit having moved here recently.

I thought this was just putting a stop to them bringing players in. Their 'assets' need to be paid off to service what they owe so I dont think they have a embargo against players leaving, just they are no longer in control of such dealings

thats what i was thinking too

if there in money trouble, selling players would be the quick answer to there problems, stoppign a club in administration from doing that is IMO a bit silly

maybe there just waiting to sort out whos going to be there owner and how much cash they have :shrug: if they have enough they might want to keep him

It does seem only to be on signing players, because several have left already. According to this article it may be lifted, though, because they're now down to just 17 professionals, five of them kids like Rose.

You mean Spurs have also signed Nathan Porritt of Boro? He's another promising LMF. Been compared to Giggs but he looks more like Becks (not that I believe any such comparison, as there have countless "new" Peles, Maradonas and Ronaldinhos around - and none could come close yet to the original)
