I honestly cant blame Rose, why would you stay at a club that has no ambition to go to that next level with trophies?
yes we have the stadium but the money in the game at present and we have had this shit for the last few summers, we have not spent hardly anything over what we have received, despite getting CL football 2 seasons on the trot.
Where is the money going.

I honestly cant blame Rose, you want to win things as a footballer and it clearly is not going to happen at spurs anytime soon. all teams have strengthened.

Watford yes I repeat Watford have spent 16m on a player today!!!! something is really fucked up at spurs at present and when this stadium is built something has to change

Understand where rose is coming from but if he feels this way it's something that he should be airing to levy and Pochettino in private and then he might hear what's going on and if he doesn't like it then he can decide to leave should we accept a price. Is he even back in training yet? Has gone down in my estimation.

My gurss is he has had a private chat with Levy but it went in one ear then then out the other

He wouldnt be stupid enough to go straight to the press without a private xhat first

Such nativity and pathetic response. It is best when you don't know the details to keep quiet.
Naivety would be pretending this isn't Danny. He's already on record as saying similar this summer and we're the only one of the top 6 not yet showing any ambition this window. Read between the lines a bit.

To be fair to Rose all he has said is what us lot are saying?!

Maybe he's the only one brave enough to upset the apple cart for the benefit of us fans

I doubt he has any loyalties to us, he'll just be looking out for himself.

It's a bit different

None of us have gone crying to the sun, no one should go near the sun anyway

And it's also fucking disrespectful to all your teammates, the coach who you supposedly look up to and ultimately the fans

By all means tell poch and levy you want more ambition but not like this

I think it looks like Danny Rose who has made these comments, which is poor.

However I just don't see him leaving the club as if he does Poch will follow next summer for sure.

We all berate Levy (I'm a classic example) but even he wouldn't play Russian roulette with Poch?

If DR does go then our squad will be pulled apart over the coming windows as it underlines what our 'real' stance is ie everyone can be bought. It's a watershed moment... let's see how it plays out

Wish the window was just shut now. I'd accept the squad we have now before things get fucking worse.
You should never accept second best or second rate. Second rate is what our transfer window has been, the only team to not sign one single player three days before the start of the season with £50 million plus in the bank from sales ,it is truly pathetic. A legend one said the game is about glory, doing things in style. Low balling and saying current market is unrealistic is a lame excuse, sorry but the market is what it is, it is known as market forces Mr Chairman.

That's different. That's our reaction as fans, which is likely to be far more emotional than logical.

Levy has played this game for too long now, and it's caught up with him. In truth he did not expect Pochettino to have improved us and our players to such an extent by this stage of the project, but the upsides to that progress massively outweigh the negatives (actually having to build on it).

I posted that I felt this sentiment would spread through the squad next summer, but it has clearly come early and we need to nip it in the bud.

Levy needs to sit down with Joe Lewis and make a plan for working in a market which, he may well be right, is unsustainable but is the reality.

Just saying it's ridiculous isn't going to make it go away.
I dont see anything changing until they sell up, and that day cant come quick enough for me.

My remarks were to the posters comments knocking Rose. You need to read and relying that context.

I will not share any. Not everything is for the forum.
fair enough but it makes your earlier comment a tad harsh to put it mildly....you slapped the other poster hard but provided zero context. Probably shouldn't have made your original post.

By different, I mean I agree with you. As a fan I don't want Rose to go, but I'm long past thinking there's any loyalty in the game.

That sense of feeling he should be loyal to us because we 'made him' comes from the emotion we feel for the club.

It just doesn't work like that though. It's a career. They want two things: success and money.
I understand why he may want to go, but i dont like it based on previous interviews and his performances pre Poch, nor his approach to doing so. It has pissed me off.

Rose is pissing me off for possibly wanting to leave, Levys pissing me off for not pulling his finger out and now I'm pissing me off by being a moany **** about Levy and transfer window.

They'll all be thinking it. They're not stupid, they'll see how threadbare the squad is beyond starting 11 and think we haven't got enough depth to win anything. They'll be as frustrated as us at falling just short last two years, they'll know just like us we need more depth to help us get over the line and win something. It's probably why Toby hasn't gotten rid of that release clause yet.

Is it similar to when Rooney called for ambition at Utd?
yeah and look what it cost him....he became their top scorer but nobody at Utd really cared when he left.

And maybe that will happen with Danny....back in the fold, does a good job, moves on in a few years but never really loved because of this moment....and he might be ok with that because of the grief he got from fans earlier
