What makes you think he has apologised? The statement came from the agency. If he was big enough to provide an interview to the scum paper then he, not the agency should have made the apology.
He's probably (and quite rightly) keeping a low profile right now, sitting him in front of any sort of microphone is probably seen as a bad idea. The guy has fucked up, there's an apology out there and he made it. Pretending otherwise is ridiculous IMO.

EDIT: but as ajspurs says above........

I think it was theboyhotspur that said the interview was done two weeks ago but it was the sun that decided to publish it with maximum timing velocity.

However on his blog he also announced Chelsea had made a opening 60 odd million quid bid for rose, claiming he was itk, so does he talk shite or does he know his onions?

Point taken, I didn't expect him to face the mikes, however one through the manager would have shown more courage.

I'm not sure how I feel about poch's comments just now and rose staying

Rose really pissed me off and I don't really want someone like that at the club

But if he is gonna stay and poch is willing to forgive him then I suppose there's no point holding a grudge, it won't achieve anything

I just wish he hadn't of fucking said it , so stupid, was one of my favourite players

No way we would authorise talking to the media directly, especially as Danny is currently tied up in the baldys secret dungeons under the training ground.

Ps baldy is Levy, no Italian itk here

Poch has forgiven him according the press conference. Says he still has a future at the club. Sounds to me like Rose has been told he isn't going anywhere and they're all trying to make the best of a bad situation

You can always tell when these Talkshite and red top bullshit journos are getting desperate, they come out with louder and more outlandish tosh about Spurs completely imploding and claiming that all our players are literally hours or days away from handing in transfer requests.

The writers allegiances to West Ham and Chelsea are so obvious.

Reading between the lines, what they really mean is "We are poisoned with bitterness about the prospect that Spurs will win silverware or have a sustained period of success because

A. We are never successful and never will be and we want to simply drag you into the gutter with us ; and/or

B. We are plastic and we've cheapened ourselves and bought success and we lack class and can't bear the thought that you might be successful without selling out and being classless like us. "

Why apologise to his teammates if the whole team gave him a heroes reception :cautious:
Not sure can believe polished apology, afterall it starts with ^having had time to consider my actions...^ hmm, like the months and months you were conniving this plan when out injured, ^ive been meaning to get a lot of my chest^ or words to that effect

Also ends with ^wish the lads luck against Newcastle on sunday^ we need luck? Was hoping he'd be more confident than that

Am I the only one who thinks the apology causes insult to injury? Making Rose look even worse, if possible?

"Sorry for the timing". Oh, so on Wednesday, less than 90 hours until the first match of the season, he goes "I know, I'll call that journo who I sort of have a report with. That's sensical". Now, all of the sudden, there was something off with that. Really?!

"Didn't mean to offend". I call bullshit. When Rose sat down in that couch, with the Rose-friendly reporter he has been talking to on and off over the years, he meant to offend everybody who he feels has offended him. The teammate not up to scratch. The director who doesn't pay fairly. The fans who called him shit back when he quite rightly was shit. Oh no, Rose was on offence highway, heading north. Or west. depending on which direction would land him most money.

Apology? As shite as they come.

A very PR response from Poch. He'll still be gone next summer.

I'm okay with that. Hopefully Davies will continue his 2017 form in to the new season, and then I'd love us to go in for Sessegnon again in January and loan him back to Fulham until the end of the season knowing Rose will be going.

What Poch says in the press conference and what's said and then done behind closed doors are two wildly different things. He's hardly going to say 'no, I've not forgiven him and quite frankly, I think he's a bit of a ****' now is he? :D

I think Rose has shot his bolt now and it's going to be all about maximising the fee. The appearance of normality and not going public to say we're selling will probably be a big part of that.

Fuck me, I'm on fire today
