If Bent was shit why did he play much better than Keane?

I don't understand how getting rid of Bent would make us somewhat better? I'd be interested to hear of a replacement willing to be 3rd choice who would do a better job because I don't believe there is one.

If Bent was shit then why did Ramos bring him on

Because we had no other striker on the bench? This is why we need another striker. Bent is fine as 4th choice but when you need to bring someone on the change the game Bent is nowhere near the impact player that people think. So cliched but still the biggest waste of money I can ever imagine. Not even worth 5 let alone 16 million.

well thought out.

he did nothing wrong tonight and did plenty right.

You sir must be on happy pills or something, as you seem in now way affected that we just lost our game of the season (barring the final obviously)

No SS57, your smarter than everyone else objectivity fuellled sarcasm does not detract from the glaringly obvious. The guy is pants. Sooner we get rid the better.

If it's all the same to you, I'll stick with objectivity-fuelled sarcasm. Knee-jerk subjective cluelessness really isn't my cup of tea.

It seems that we want our players to fail rather than getting behind them. Judging Bent on a handful of starts and a lot of cameos is very harsh. He will come good I am certain. His confidence is probably shot because of the negativity aimed towards him. He was lively and got into positions to score. I dont see the issue.

Though i thought Bent was ok, and dont wish to single any player out as a scapegoat, it showed Bent wasnt use to playing with this set of players as a team, when he kept Koevermans onside when he had a sitter of a chance to score, but fluffed it in front of robinson. Everyone played the offside trap except him.

I am affected, I'm just not willing to blame Darren bleedin' Bent for it, who was in my opinion, one of our better players today & had far more impact than Keane had in the 80 mins he was on for, even after the rest of the team had no juice left.

Kendall mate he's shot himself in the foot by admitting hes thinking irrationally due to the loss. Therefore he is merely venting his frustration onto Bent.... His opinion at the current moment is therefore invalid.

I never said I was blaming Bent for losing the tie tonight. I'm just saying he's shit. There's a difference. Think about what you're saying before you come out and say it. He didn't exactly win us the tie tonight did he? He had a few very good chances and look what came out of it. Nothing. Story of his season so far. Just not good enough. I'm sorry if you feel otherwise but I can guarantee that the majority of Spurs fans are with me on this one.

FEED THE BENT AND HE WILL MISS!

And there you go again!!

There is nothing subjective or clueless or knee jerk about what i am saying.

Fact he has not scored many goals or indeed contributed much by positive forward play this season.

Cluelessness implies that i know nothing about the game, whilst you clearly do i imagine.

Knee jerk, i don't think so. My posts have been pretty consistent on this issue.

I hope he proves me wrong. Perhaps you can post me back when he does.

Bent hasn't really made it at Spurs so far. I hope he will get better soon. Maybe we should use the £16.5mill striker more now, when the season is already over. We have an UEFA cup place, and the only thing we play for now, is to get at the best a 8th place. We have to make sure we do not get relegated, but I don't think that will be a problem.

Bent needs to get his confidence back, and we can give him that now, when the season is over, and when we have achieved the UEFA cup spot for next season.
