It was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment, but I doubt he is too upset with all the money he is being paid and that medal.

Had to look it up because I had no idea, but he played 5 of Italy's 7 games including a goal against Ghana in the WC and he has scored 8 in 23 this season for Juve.

He still isn't very good though.

Exactly

"Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta “is tracked by several clubs, including Tottenham,” confirmed his agent.
The forward was expected to leave in the summer, but a January transfer is still on the cards.

“I don’t like to comment on rumours,” said Andrea D’Amico when asked about a £10.5m offer from Spurs.

“I do know that Vincenzo is tracked by several clubs, including Tottenham, who have been interested in the player for a long time.

“Having said that, nobody has called me directly,” he told Itasport.

Iaquinta would be cup-tied if he did transfer to Tottenham in January, having already played in Europe with Juventus."

Don't we know it!

Always seen him as an Italian heskey. Bit of pace and power, gives a hard time to defender, not much ability or goal threat though. Him starting ahead of quagliarella seemed nuts at the WC, as does juve persisting with him.

That's an inaccurate comparison. Iaquinta is a much better finisher, quicker (can play on the left of a 4-3-3 but that's obviously not ideal) and technically better than Heskey. Thing is, he needs a run of games to find form and consistency as he can look really shit when thrown into the mix coming back from an injury (which happpens quite often). He's more similar to Pav I guess but better.

This rumour will never go away. Even when he retires he'll be linked to be our manager/physio/teaboy.

His goal record suggests that he isn't really a much better finisher than anyone, while heskey lacking pace is a complete myth, he definitely has it. As for technique, I've not seen evidence that iaquinta has it.

Love the Dave rumours

Reminds me of the days when Ever, Reids-Belly and myself spammed the life out of this place :shifty:

Seems we've been linked to Dave for years now....I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a powerful striker with pace. Very DC Boy of me.

Jenas has been playing and playing well, and not a peep out of him.

JJ not in the team, you couldn't get him away from the place!

As I have said before.....

His goal record for Juve is pretty good, Its equivelent to about 0.40 a game, which isn't bad! Infact he has been a pretty decent goalscorer since 2003. Very consistent as well.

He has been Juve's best striker for the last 3 seasons, although that is testement to how far they have fallen. He is quite quick, quite strong and a good player, not as good as Defoe though. And still better then Qualiarela who actually does start with Iaquinta normally. Bit old though, but If both keane and Pav go with another striker he might make a good signing for no more then £8 million

His goalscoring record at Udinese is pretty good but throughout his period at Juventus he's had to struggle with injuries, rotation (for years the main partnership was Del Piero-Trezeguet) and the team being a mess on and off the pitch, yet he's managed to to have a decent goal record aswell. He's definitely a better finisher than Heskey. He's technically better than Heskey, but it doesn't take much to find a striker who is does it? :)

For me, Iaquinta is kind of like going out for some chinese food. I wouldn't mind it but it's no big deal if it doesn't happen since the, erm, british and russian cuisine I have in the fridge is probably just as good.

And I'm not that hungry to begin with. Of course if someone was to offer me some gourmet french cooking or some awesome brazilian bbq, now that would be mouth watering...

With so many people on ignore he probably checks in daily to find no one has written anything to respond to.
