We've also had Martin Jol's thoughts on Davinson Sanchez. "He's very young, unbelievably quick & their best player."

Yeah I was just reading this:

If you play for Ajax, you can play for any club in the world — that is the reality,” said Jol, who remains close to both his former clubs. “He was arguably their best player. He is cynical, he is unbelievably quick. He settled quickly as a young lad who came into the country [from Colombian club Atletico Nacional]. He was there one year and he was a personality.
“For a young player, he was mentally strong. That’s not a normal thing because he was very young. But to be mentally good for the Premier League, you have to learn your trade.”

'It's mad, they spent £40 million on Sanchez & they could have had John Terry for free. Even my dealers never heard of him & he's Colombian'

Do you get the feeling that Ajax are very pleased with themselves for getting such a large transfer fee out DL?

A big shout out to Poch, in the press conference a couple of hours ago, even though he knew it was in the bag and his signing was inevitable, he refused to even comment as 'we don't comment on rumours'.
Such a classy mutherfucker.

What a massive signing. I wouldn't swap our defence for any other on the planet.

It's been a long wait, but worth it. Can't wait to see him in action.
