What peed me off was the way the commentator brought up Daws error in the prev int game just before the injury as if he's always cocking up. When he came on Cahill was out of position a couple of times and not a word was said, bloody commentator.

Hope it's not too bad Daws, you da man.

For those who say they hate internationals, yes if a player gets injured in a meaningless friendly I agree it a bugger to say the least even though friendlys can be important, but to play for your country must be such a major achievement in your life, you could tell it meant the world to Daws from his comments, so would you want to be the one who said, actually you can't play for your country because your club is more important ? Don't think I would.

I've done both knees in and the way it looked I said straight away it's six months out. I hope I'm wrong but it didn't look good

I have also done what it looks as though Daws has done. I was on crutches for 3 months couldnt play competitive sport for 5. Hope he hasn't done that though. Fingers crossed.

The commentator was Clive Tyldesley and believe he is a Gooner

Say no more then, he's just as bad as those gooners on the sun website like upthearse who seem to be rejoicing in the injury.

Gutted for Dawsm if anybody deserved to be playing in the CL this season it was him. Hopefully will be a case of weeks rather than months, but I am not optimistic.

We will be well covered IMO. Bassong will be fine alongside Gallas or King. I actually think Kaboul and Gallas could make an excellent partnership, both French with plenty of pace. Gallas could guide Kaboul and I could see him learning a lot off his fellow countryman.

Kaboul has done well for us when called upon recently. He improved at Pompey and has continued to do so here in his second stint with the Club.

Obviously I hope Daws returns as quickly as possible but I am confident with the options we have.

As long as we dont have to use Corluka or Huddlestone - I am happy.

Gallas will have a huge role to play now and he is by no means past it, as some City fans have alluded to on Bluemoon - twats.

King, Gallas, Bassong and Kaboul are still a very tasty quartet of CBs.

What is with poor Michael and Wembley - he's jinxed. This is absolutely devastating news if the diagnosis is as bad as it seems. Get well soon Daws. I feel absolutely gutted.

He'll be fine for the CL final, although the extra nerves of revisiting the "scene of the injury" could be tough

You know its a bad injury when a player quickly raises their hand to signal to the bench that somethings very wrong. Very sad for Daws :(

Daws was really unlucky and does not deserve this.

He has been so loyal towards the England team, like when he was omitted from the squad by Capello before the world cup and flew back out to South Africe after being recalled. He was so keen to proudly wear The Three Lions shirt and then this happens to him. He is such a nice and humble lad.

I really hope that his injury is not as bad as it looks and hope he makes a swift recovery. We need him back as soon as possibile. He is so important for us as we all know.
