TIM Sherwood in his short time in charge has made one subtle change that I have been crying out for all the way through AVB's reign that caused us endless goals last season & a simple change saved us a goal against Utd..& that is have a man on back post defending corners.. under Andre it was always a man on the front post ( the south American way) which. Made no sense to me.. so kudos to Tim for adjusting.. he also has left an outball option when defending corners which we never had & we tended to get pinned in our own half for periods without one & just welcomed pressure onto ourselves.. other changes is how we seem to be passing to players in attacking situations in there stride instead of to feet.
If Any one-else has noticed any other subtle changes other than tempo please post

Err, what about scoring goals. That's a subtle one...

Wait until he have to play Vertonghen again, that guy can't defend a set piece to save his life.

But we've done well lately. A top motivated Adebayor has obviously helped.

But it would be nice to start scoring. Liverpool are banging in set pieces like there's no tomorrow and even if Suarez should be off, they can always lean on those situations. Would be nice to get some of that flow going.

I did make a thread about this before and bumped it a few times under AVB, it wasn't just him doing it though! Redknapp and Ramos were guilty of it too. I'm not sure what is the method for the madness. We must have conceded well into double figures over the years with nobody being on the backpost. I did notice we had a man on the post every corner which made me happy. I think even Rose cleared one off the line too

I noticed this yesterday to. Looked much more solid defending set pieces as a whole yesterday.
