The goals in the past game were stunning. A turnaround perhaps?Meh, it's a about time Harry stop picking him, his form has been woeful

Wouldnt read to much into it tonight. Think Pav was the better option for the closing minutes as is slightly bigger target man than Defoe and can hold the ball up abit better.
defoe is a knob
It made more sense since Pav, like Crouchinho, has much more experience in European competitions. A lot of people often forget that.
That said, based on what happened to Keane after the Dublin episode I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Harry is a bit pissed off with Defoe after the prima donna interview.
I thought Pav was a better sub than Defoe at the time because Pav is better at holding up the ball than Defoe.
Didn't Defoe play up top on his own during his first half-season at Pompey before they signed Crouch to partner him?
People like to analyse things on here lol as if Pav hadn't gone on people would have been saying there's Harry's problem with Pav again putting his favourite son on instead!
Harry cannot win.

Oh, I entirely agree.Yes they were and i hope so
But 2 goals against the bottom team doesn't give him enough right to start mouthing off, especially when Harry has stood by him. Unlike say Pav, who has scored when he's played, but still get dropped regardless.
I hope Defoe does regain his form, like our a strikers, but he has to be content with sitting in his hands for a bit before knocking down the door like he's some British version of Pele
What the hell is it with footballers always throwing their toys out of the pram?So apparently Defoe stormed down the tunnel when the decision was made to sub Pav on for Crouch. Says a mate of mine who was at the game and also someone in one of the other threads on here.
Did anyone find it very unusual how Pav got the nod ahead of Defoe when it came to coming on for Crouch tonight?
Could it be that Harry and him have fallen out cos of Defoe mouthing off in the press?
Anyone heard anything?
pointless comment ever.dont matter result is result
