Those two really do have a rapport going. Eric doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box though does he? I don't mean it in a bad way as on the field he's obviously an awesome player.

I think he's one of the smarter players, he speaks two languages which may restrict his English but I think he comes across well on Twitter and Instagram.

He totally blew Dele out of the water with the 'Whiplash' dig.

It had me in stiches. Dele couldn't come back from it.

True, it could just be his language situation.

Dier is trying to be a rude boi at the moment is all. He'll come across better again when he stops focusing all his attentions on looking surly. Bles$$.

I reckon he's been asked to or felt he needs to look a bit more threatening on the pitch.

Previously to his bad boy look he's seemed a genuinely nice lad.

Why would being able to speak Portuguese restrict his English? :D His parents are English and he grew up speaking it and uses it every day?

How on earth does a guy who lived in Portugal from the age of 10, and whose full name is Eric Jeremy Edgar Dier, manage to have the world's most exaggerated rudeboy accent? Weird.

No young people are impressionable and their peer group has zero influence on how they act and talk.

Or ...

Amazed at people saying Dier has a rude boy accent, he sounds more like Andy Murray in his delivery to me and quite a serious bloke.
