Did tonight show Lloris and Caulker should play against QPR?

Personally, I think tonight showed how important it is to play Caulker and Lloris in the PL.

Lloris' distribution and general command of his area was far superior to anything Friedel is offering nowadays. On a similar note, Caulker slotted into this formation seamlessly was assured in possession, defended really well and distributed the ball much better than Gallas. These two players are going to be massive for us in years to come, so we really need to get them playing in the League ASAP!

Whilst Lloris had little to do and to showcase his best attribute which is his superb reflexes, his poise in the box really assured me and has a lovely knack of taking the ball cleanly and confidently which can only be a positive in him developing a good rapport with the defence.

Caulker meanwhile is definately in the Ledley King school of defending but he is a great athlete and physically imposing which will obviously be a plus point defending but also attacking set pieces along with Vertonghen.

Both will be mainstays in the first team sooner or later I've no doubt about that.

I think both should be in the team, Lloris without a shadow of a doubt. I think Caulker as well is really banging on the door but Gallas hasnt done too badly but he will be replaced over the next few months Im sure. they may both play on Sunday though if Naughton is injured and Vertonghen has to go out to left back.

I agree with keeping Caulker in the team for the QPR game, based on tonights showing, he did look like he deserves to be in there.

Don't see why there's a rush to get them in now. Let them push for a place and keep pushing. Why do people get so panicked? Season has just started and there's a lot of games to be played and players to play them.

I think with the goalkeeping situation its a bit different as you rarely use them as substitutions, which means that you are just waiting for a friedal cock up until Lloris gets a chance. Brad has been good for us, but we must build for the future and he himself appreciates that. Caulker deserves to be rewarded for his excellent performance tonight as well, as Gallas hasn't exactly been hugely convincing yet this season.

I don't think it is about panic. I just think they showed tonight against top class opposition that they deserve to start in the league.

IMO, yes, both Caulker and Lloris should start.

However I think AVB will stick with Friedel again, if not Gallas.

Caulker is class I'm gonna say right now from what I've seen his on the same level if not better than Vertonghen IMO.....If the club has any sense should mold him to become captain.

First start first clean sheet... I'm really impressed with Caulker I can see him having Ledley status.

both played well, but others are in the team based on more than 1 game.

Plenty of matches coming up where they will get more chances.

Loris had absolutely nothing to do tonight, no evidence to replace Freidel. Caulker will start at the weekend with Verts at Lb

I'm prepared to wait a long time for a Friedel cock-up if I have to. Ooh-er. Buying Lloris is building a future. Caulker can keep doing what he did tonight and he'll get a chance. Wouldn't want him in front of our home fans in the league yet though. It's the crowd who isn't ready.

It's right after their first big game. Let them keep knocking.

I sit in block 30, first half there was a lot of confusion between Lloris, Caulker and Verts over what to do when Lloris was in possession. They weren't all on the same page over the split CB thing. Caulker was trying to do it every time, Lloris was trying to push them up and Verts didn't seem to know whether to do it. It didn't seem as though sandro was dropping deep to recieve the ball either.

It's not a criticism just an observation.

Well considering it was a clean sheet tonight bolds well for future matches that they both participate in.
