I do.

And I read that Enic out thing & not too much chimed with me.

Maybe it's because I don't go and am involved quite remotely. To me it's largely soap opera, indeed all football is. As such, i still read everything, watch every game I can, rage about the bad decisions, have an opinion on every transfer but it never becomes more than an avid interest. I don't personally know any of these people I invest this interest in, they are like TV characters. And I enjoy it when we do well and sulk when we are shit.

In truth, we are in a fairly good place.
I'm on holiday with my brother in law and he is a Leeds fan, so anyone losing their shit about this might want some perspective...

Unfortunately I do - the heart wants what the hear wants.
But I really hate the state of modern football (well, except the possibility to watch all matches bar the occasional early cup-round), so there's a head-heart argument going now and then.

I still care but since moving abroad I've certainly lost contact with football as no one speaks about it in the office on a Monday and it's not in the news or papers.

Spurs do make it hard with the constant chopping and changing and trying to win things without the investment other clubs make.

Its the fact that were always just on the cusp of turning the corner to greatness and then for what ever reason the universe conspires against us.

I think there is so much wrong with such a simple game, talking from a premiership perspective and a national team perspective, because that is my connection ie Spurs and England. How must it feel being a Spurs player or an Everton player or even a Liverpool player knowing you are years away from having a shot at the title? As a fan seeing the FA cup lose it's value seeing a European trophy (the Europa League) lose it's value. Fans being shafted, having an un united fan base within the stadium, moaners, tourists, boyfriend and girlfriend, along with people who want to sing but are vilified. Foreign players with no connection to an area. A governing body who are spineless. Television companies with more clout than said governing body. A poisinous media who build up and knock down expose and shame. A national team full of so called role models who take up inches of newspaper space for off the field scandal.

I just can't buy into it anymore ..

I think I'm beginning to struggle with having my love of Spurs on one hand, and the suspicion of the state of football in the other.

Football is becoming less and less of a sport it seems and that's a shame. Trying to rationally follow a team is becoming difficult given the huge imbalance between some clubs.

You've got to take the troughs with the peaks. We are Tottenham Hotspur, and it isn't going to change anytime soon.
