---- In fact most of our youngsters coming through, Kane included.
To a lesser extent
Townsend - has potential, but constantly makes the wrong choices, needs a better footballing brain which ultimately makes me want to slap him in the face with a used condom half the time... But has loads of potential and time is running out for him.... Oh and plays on the left
Walker - Very good, still needs to work on his decision making and final ball.
Ade - Yes has been playing well, but is in his third year now and has been inconsistant. Soldado and all new players get the benefit of the doubt for now, first year and all that rubbish.
Dembele - Can do some amazing runs, then cock up or forget to proved the final ball. He is great at holding on too, but the releasing side of it sucks arse.
Lennon, Dawson, Rose, Naughton all excite me when I hear their names attached to rumours taking them away from the club.
There really is a massive amount of positives, especially with quality of players we have at our disposal, especially for the right manager, when he comes along (whoever that maybe). The problems is, a lot of our problems are at the business side (football wise, on the pitch etc) side of things and we are not actually utilising those great players we have.
My interpretation of the question being raised by the OP is this thread was if there was anyone in the current squad who's play on the pitch excites you - gets you off your seat with their skill or whatever else a footballer can do to excite the crowd. In the way the likes of Modric, Bale, VdV, Ginola, Berbatov etc etc used to excite and entertain us
For me I am incline to agree that there is no one who is currently an exciting player - sure there's potential for the future and we have perhaps seen glimpses from the likes of Erkisen, Lamela and even Soldado and I personally see Sandro as an exciting player with his passion, his crunching tackles and his long range shooting ability
Dembele is exciting at times when he dribbles - but not in the way a Ginola once was or a Bale in full stride would be etc
I think the point being made is a valid one - we lack exciting players in the here and now and there is no one out there who gets the crowd buzzing or who takes the game by the scruff of the neck and gets his team mates performing to a higher level
So I agree - no we don't really have any truly exciting players like now but we have a lot of potential we can be excited about for the future (if you see the distinction I am trying to make)
