Very interesting... Most likely this is a tax efficient bonus. From my limited experience of running a few companies, there are ways to make a PILON work in favour of the departing directors and the company. Payment In Lieu Of Notice/PILON can be used to give a lump of cash, while the person carries on working in other group companies. Doubt she’s going away entirely...
