it doesn't sound great, but hopefully he is just putting the pressure on levy and berbs to make some kind of public commitment.

No need for discussion, we all know that whatever happens Berba will leave at the end of the season.

Thanks for all the memories and Good Luck.

He deserves tpo play for a top top club.

He is one of the great forward players of the last 20 years. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the super clubs put a bid in for him in the summer. £30-50million would be a nice addition to the stadium fund - but only if he refuses to sign a new contract.

*Sigh* How many times has he said he's happy and wants to stay at Spurs? I've lost count. If everyone is happy, I can't see him going anywhere.

Look guys, if Berba says he wants to go, let him.
Collect a stupid 'Carrick esc' fee from Man Utd again and let Ramos show us what he did for Kanoute in Seville. Robbie Keane is the no.1 striker a the club now and his heart is planted deep in spurs now.
Yeah Berba is talented, but I want a super team not super individuals.

Poyet has said that he will be staying, Berbo has said about 400 times that he is happy, loves the club, the fans and has no desire to go anywhere else.

He will not leave before the end of the season and I honestly believe that if we continue the way we are, maybe win a cup, he will sign an extension and stay.

My modest opinion: Berbatov was very dispirited by Spurs awful start of the season and asked Levy to accept the offer of Man U. Levy told him that he couldn't do it at the start of the season but in January, provided that Spurs have no chance to challenge for a top 4 place and a good offer comes from a top top club, he will sell him. However, it seems that when Levy appointed Ramos he promised him to keep the Bulgarian at least till the end of the season. So, I expect that Levy will try to fulfill what he promised to Ramos, and not what he promised to Berbatov.

Berba showed today that he is much more than a creative striker. I'm sure his career will surpass all expectations.

The problem is the board loves any profits. so, Why Ramos said 'it is up to the chairman' , for sure they could accpet big offers for Berba even if he wants to stay or the manager wants him.

I feel JR said it to put pressure on Levy in media to keep him.

I still think he'll leave in the summer but not before. Clubs with loads of money still chasing three trophies do not sell their best players. At least I fucking hope they don't.

As i always said in the past. Berbs will leave in the Summer and not before... This will allow more clubs to come in for him If/when he does, i really hope its abroad somewhere in Spain or Italy ...:bang:

Obviously theres a huge diff in all round quality between Berba and Bent, but I wouldnt mind giving Dazza a good long run in the team if Berbs leaves.
Did prem league fans know about berba before we signed him ..not many, no.
There's tons of players out there ready and waiting to join us with the same quality, or with the potential for Ramos to bring it out of them.

I just hope we dont spend another stupid transfer window worring about strikers again, when the rest of the team needs treatment.

If we sold him in January, Levy will receive a huge backlash from the fans, and he knows it.
We need Berbatov and players like Berbatov to get to where we want to be. Unless a ridiculously stupid offer is received, he will stay.
His contract and situation will be reviewed and sorted at the end of the season, as to what we achieve this season, and what direction we are heading.

Berbatov will 100% guaranteed not leave us in January transfer window. BUT he will 100% guaranteed leave us in the Summer. You can all hold me to that.

Ramos about Berba:

"But I cannot assure that he is going to stay at the club because the chairman has to decide that.

http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2007/12/29/Premier-League-Ramos-on-Berbatov/

That is nothing to do with Berbi going, Ramos just sounds like he's sick of being asked and simply saying, "Stop asking me, it's not my decision", rather than "He's going and there is nothing I can do about".

To all spurs fans, STOP POSTING THESE THREADS!! It's like your desperate to see him go so we have something to piss and moan about. Until there is a headline say he has been sold, forget about it.

United or Chelsea will buy Anelka in January, will be a hell of a lot cheaper and score just as many goals!

I think he'll give it til summer, see how we did, then decide.

I would be inclined to allow him to leave IF he so wishes BUT that is probably just press speculation....if we are to believe what we are being told. He is a quality player (so what's new lol?) but I am still confident that we can do enough to provide him with a stable club and a promising future. Pay no attention to the scum of the press.....let them live in their dreamland in Fleet Street (or wherever!). What will be will be! COYS!
