Am I the only one who is paranoid about spending big on strikers? Dont think I’ve dealt with my Soldado PTSD yet.
Dusan Vlahovic isn't a one season wonder....but I can understandyour trepidation...i mean look at Ndombele...whilst he might not score at the rate of Harry Kane he would be a good hold up player strong and will only get better. I hope we make a move for him but not expecting it.

But I believe the new rules are the wage bill must be 70% or less of revenue so it's a tightrope. They may think they have a loophole but I don't know what that is.
Isn’t it going to go down in 10% increments for a few years to reach the 70% mark rather than them bringing the 70% rule in straight away? Gives teams a bit of time to get their house in order, which is fair. I agree though, I can’t see how that doesn’t become an issue for them

If Paratici wants him I want him. In an italian interview when he was DOF for Juve he said that the person when scouting is more important than the actual talent, Becasue the risk of a player without a solid personality is never worth taking a risk on, And we can really see that from his players that has been brought in. Romer, Sarr <3 (toppclass personality) Kulu and Udougi. Such a difference to Hitchen/Levy types all talent but does not scout the person what so ever it seems. Ndombele, Spence, Jack Clarke, Nkudu haha. Total difference in the key work (GRIT). In paratici we should trust.

Yes that's how I understand it but it has already started, I may be wrong but I think it goes to 80% this year.

Quick google says 90% this year and will go down 10% next year and the year after. So clubs need to be at 70% by the 2025-2026 season

didnt think it was ITK but hate this habit of people stating their opinion as fact when at the time of posting it isnt!
That's become by biggest bugbear recently, along with "I've heard" and "Reports are" while providing nothing as to where the info has come from (usually bloody Twitter).

Yes, I'm old and grumpy! 😁

His injury concerns put a big doubt on me wanting him. I’d be over the moon if he was over them and we could get him ( probably due to Juve’s financial worries ). I would also be very happy with Chiesa ( if he’s also over his injuries ) and Orban.

After today its clear as day, give Ange this man and we’re winning the lot
I wouldn't go that far, but we definitely need another forward. Whether that is Vlahovic I don't know, but Ange has a plan and we need to listen to him

Today at least made me feel I think we need a striker with the physique and presence of someone like Vlahovic. Am not sure that more a poacher would be better suited.

Should just send him a tape of that game with crowd audio at max and see how quickly he packs his bags to get here

Not sure you need to turn up the crowd audio.

60,000 (including me) left their voices at the ground today.

Soldado wasn't a one season wonder either. His scoring stats in La Liga had been very respectable for over half a decade before we signed him.

Vlahovic is significantly less proven, plus has a slightly worrying recent injury record (6 injuries in the space of 12 months). I think he would be much better than Soldado was, but it certainly wouldn't be a risk-free signing.
