He was first mentioned in a thread about Marcus Edwards by @Blake Griffin, 3.5 years ago.

never thought i'd see taarabt morph into a hardworking holding midfielder either.

looks like it's been kicking off in the stands with seats and flares thrown onto the pitch, good fun. marcus has had his moments in this game, just needs to make one count. didn't mention it before but vitoria's edmond tapsoba(cb) is a player with a lot of promise, the kind of player we'll wait until they're worth 5-6x as much before being interested in though.

Not sure I’m as obsessed with the whole “calm” thing as some others. Feel like we just need someone quick, good in the air and physical that’s good on the ball to complement Romero, being quick and reading the game being the main attribute needed to let Romero be aggressive and they sweep in behind. Dier is “calm” and that’s a fucking disaster, he’s too calm, backs away from challenges until players have a free shot on goal or skip past him

He's played some CDM as well over the past few seasons, which helps IMO. But agree, very quick, strong, tall - would be a good fit on paper for Ange's high line. Seems to play in LCB role despite being right footed. Leverkusen also play the right way under Alonso so could be a seamless transition.
