For the price, there aren’t many (any?) left footed CBs as good. Was more consistent than Dier,, Sanchez or Tanganga in the back 3 last season. I’d include Davies there hut he had a good first half season.
Fair criticism that we would be paying a hefty salary for a CB who was mediocre though.

If we’re not including Kulusevski and Porro fees we’ve only spent £56 million on 3 players so far.
Getting Tapsoba and Adarabioyo for a combined £60 million is not unreasonable and a huge upgrade.
After that we could concentrate on outgoings.
Add to that the £10 million received for Winks, so £46 million net spend so far.
I agree. Tosin is so cheap and tapsoba we have to pay big for I mean 60m big, he’s worth it! We’ll have our defence sorted for years
It’s a pivotal moment tbh. I honestly think we will get top 5 next season if we get him

Reported fees for Tapsoba seem to be £45 million and £15 million for Adarabioyo
Yeah but I think they want big money a too big to refuse offer for him imo. It’s a van dyke moment

The fact that 2 other cbs and their RW want out I just worry it takes a massive offer

I dont think Lenglet is worth the wages that he would want.
It wouldnt be a cheap deal like some think and we could do better with good scouting.

I really really hope we don’t sign just one centre back, the past few days Ally Gold and Fab Romano saying definitely signing 1 and the 2nd centre back depends on outgoings.

I mean if we signed 2 CBs we would have 7 CBs on the books for two positions, so clearly we have to shift some. Gold has been clear in saying our intention is to sign two in the window though.

While you are absolutely right. Signing two CBs would leave us 3 of the required quality + Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga and Rodon. We need the two in first as the 4 others have demonstrated over the course of seasons that they can’t be relied on.
I desperately want to see us put the changes in and then worry about moving the others on. Even if that’s done at lower prices, cancelled contracts, or sending them to the moon on a commercial rocket
