Sorry, what service is Tottenham Hotspur providing for your money? I must have missed that?

Sorry Stoof, I'm missing your point. But if you're literally asking me what of my hard earned money I spend on Tottenham Hotspur, I, together with my missus and my son are One Hotspur Members and fly from Malta 10/12 each season (for the past 6 seasons) to watch them at White Hart Lane. That of course, I'm sure you'd understand, incurs all the other miscellaneous costs of flights, hotels etc.,

Wonder if we ever would have gotten shit like this from the likes of Defoe, Crouch, Keane or Van der Vaart? This is the difference in our squad then and now. We weren't viewed as a stepping stone or a holiday camp like the current crop of lazy assholes view us. Sorry Adebayor, next time you are called into action, don't have your boots on and give away the ball twice we will make sure to take great care of your delicate soul. Players like him and Capoue are the poison in the club, not the fans. I remember when the players used to love the fans and gave their all for us, players this mercenary wouldn't be fit to lace the boots of.

There are parenting books that say you should praise the work rather than the child.
ie There is good and bad work rather than good and bad children.
If you are presented with something that shows no effort or talent
then be honest on why you are disappointed in the drawing for instants,
and how it could be better. You'll both know when the work is brilliant.

Some players did come out with credit against stoke - Lloris, Rose, Mason, Chadli but that was about it. They know we liked what we saw and they can have pride in their performance.
Some players (and MP) were shocking and it is best to be honest about it.
It is nothing personal. (xpt in Adebayor's case as he is a gooner).

"Daddy, Ive drawn you a picture of a flower"

"well its shit. I love you though!"

What about the multiple hammerings we've received in recent times?

I mean seriously, how many beatings can we take? Is that the fans fault? Our brillant away fans, at City that day when they're tying their shoe laces whilst Navas scores from the kick off? Or when Vertonghen is leaning against the wall in the tunnel at Anfield....and we're one down within two minutes there...is that the fans fault?

Hmmm...where have we seen that before...oh yeah, the Newcastle game two fucking weeks ago that's when.

Its bull shit. I'm so sick of some of these players making excuses for themselves.

The fans could do better at home, ok we all know that. But Jesus Christ, the nerve of some of these players to imply that we're the main problem - when they're earning the money they are and they can't be bothered to be ready to come on as a sub, or even break sweat.

They're detached from reality - Yaya Toure upset because he didn't get a birthday cake etc. Come and join the real world FFS.

Some of the body language and casualness is an absolute joke and whilst Adebayor may have a point about the atmosphere at home, it would certainly help a hell of a lot if most of them improved their attitude and started looking like they gave a shit...instead of standing about half the time.

Is it any coincidence that we've received so many beatings and shock results? Nope. Is it any coincidence that we've been caught cold so many times to give away goals that leave you speechless? Nope.

The problem extends beyond just the fans Ade I'm afraid so don't hide behind that likes it the answer to all our problems.

My football hatred for this specimen cannot be exceeded.

But this tops it up nice.

Just Fuck off dear Ade. You are the cancer.

Take your money and Fuck off.

Give me my team back. People were booing you.

Not Kane. Not rose. Not Townsend. Not mason. Not lamela. Not Erikssen.

Others that played bad still have love in the bank.

You don't.

Fuck off from my club.

I am totally disappointed and frustrated by this season and think board, manager and players have all not delivered for the fans. However comments like the one above just make me sad... Ade is totally inconsistent but he has done more for Spurs than any of the other players mentioned here and to tell him to fuck off from the club just because he is a high earner is not about football because if we are honest no player is worth the millions they are paid...

Oi Adebayor, how about apologizing for the team that is serving up dogshit football week in and week out? How about putting a full shift in you ***? How about telling us the team will play harder and make more effort in future in order to, you know, win games?

If not then just fuck off and don't come back.

I hope someone prints off this thread and mails it to him. Useless tosser.

I wish fans like you would fuck off instead.

Thing is people are all pointing the finger and saying it's his fault or their fault etc. The fault doesn't lie on one doorstep it is down to many things. And I'm certainly not saying it's the fans "fault" we are playing shit, I don't think anyone is, even Adebayor. What we are saying is it really doesn't help... When the chips are down and you're having a stinker the last thjing you need is 35000 fans shouting "you're shit, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" you need them to be getting behind you, shouting "come on mate!! Get at them! COME ON YOU SPURS!!" or words to that effect. That would certainly help more than "BOOOOOOOOOOOO, get him off!!!"

As for the blame, well where do you start? Lewis? Levy? Baldini? Pochettino? Kaboul? Adebayor? The players? or all of the above?

Here lies the problem
No, the problem is he is a footballer that doesn't have the heart or enthusiasm to play to his full ability. As others have said, if the complaint about the booing came from Lloris (for example) it would be accepted, but it came from a player that at times is as much use as a traffic cone on the pitch.

Here we go again Deja Vu.

Two weeks ago Pochettino is talking about the size of the pitch ... about this time last season Dembele was saying the same thing.

Shortly after, and just before he left, AVB was bemoaning the negativity at WHL ... a year later and its Adebayor.

Same excuses - different season.

Pochettino talks about changing the mentality. This is not chicken-egg or catch 22. If supporters do not like what they see it starts with ambivalance .. if its not changed it becomes apathy. If its still not changed it ends up with open criticism.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if the fans at the Lane actually put this theory to the test and simply supported the club at the next home match?

But, that'd require dropping the #ENICOUT bullshit for 2 hours for the sake of a potentially positive atmosphere and maybe even a decent performance. Nope, fuck everyone involved at THFC.

Having slept on it I am now quite at peace with myself.

Best resignation letter ever.

I will now look forward to going to the lane sans the whore.

Indeed. But they still managed to pay the entrance fee.

It's not as simple as this. How do you plan to get this thought process across 36,000 people? Articles or internet forums cannot save the atmosphere at White Hart Lane. Individuals cannot make the difference. The only people who can change it are the board and they are doing fuck all to improve it. Adding a standing section, a singing section, brinning back the drum and lowering ticket prices would make the day out alot more fun and thus improve the atmosphere. Some of you on here sound ridiculous, seriously, people have different mindsets and opinions. You can't just say "The fans are to blame" and then everything will be better.

I agree with you to an extent, but the fans are still a big problem.

I don't think it is a coincidence that players like Capoue started the season off well, always showing for the ball and as the restlessness of the fans has increased and we have become more vocal with our disappointment, there performances are declining and hiding from the ball.

Our players need to improve their mentality (and confidence), but I can't see this ever happening whilst the fans are always on their back.

Imagine you were going through a bad patch at work and your customers were constantly moaning and groaning as you are trying to do your work.

Some players might not have the right attitude, but a hostile atmosphere doesn't just effect them, it effects every player on the pitch including those who are trying hard. We should support the team the best we possibly can, if a player isn't trying don't sing their name just sing the manes of the players who are trying. It's not the fans job's to weed out the players with the poor attitude, that's the managers job.

If we actually support the team, I have no doubt we will see a rise in performance and attitude on the pitch and if the players don't respond, we have taken away there biggest excuse and Poch will be better placed to make decisions on dropping them and trying to improve them.

IMO, if fans want to show disappointment, stay away from the ground. It will hurt ENIC in the pocket and having 20,000 fans turn up and support the team will be better than having 36,000 fans with 12,000 booing and groaning.

We have a lot of problems at Spurs at the moment and 1 of them is in our control, let's do our bit, give them more support than they deserve, constantly sing songs, cheer them on, work against the away team rather than for them and take it from there. After all, how many teams have come from 2-0 down to win whilst getting a chorus of boo's?

So you have no problem with the message, but your hate for Adebayor is so much that the message is irrelevant. You do know that he was speaking on behalf of the rest of the players?
