Although potentially unlikely, I do hope that if he comes in and does the business in a truly fap worthy way we will be able to get him on a perm this time next year. Can't be arsed with another striker search next summer.

I'd hope that a convoluted transfer deal such as this would include an option to buy.

At the very least he's a great player to have...even if it's just for a year.

Now watch him break his leg on his debut.

This is why we need to be bringing in two strikers and not one!

Its funny how at the beginning of the window and everyone had at least 2 strikers on their wish list and alot with 3 strikers whereas now we would settle just for Adebayor on loan

I think the window has turned out to be another potential dissapointment for fams so they have gone from assuming Levy would not fuck up again, to being happy with whatever they can get at the last minute.

I, like everyone else on this forum and spurs fan for that matter, want us to sign the two that have been most heavily linked with us as of late. Not only would they help firm up some areas of need, but the club would show that they do not lack ambition. I would like to think that journalists at some of the largest papers have some integrity when writing a piece, but just like back in the states people jump the gun in order to get hits on their site. With that being said, even if we come out with the same squad we had as last year with a couple of players playing more predominant roles, I would think we could still challenge for the top 5.

Arsenal have weakened tremendously and liverpiss are still not as good as some think. If we get these two players, then we challenge for the top three.

COYS!!!

According to ITK RM have bid now so we're effectively screwed, we've invested countless hours in this deal (one that we desperately needed to happen) for a return of zero. To make matters worse RM will be using our Diarra cash to make it happen! Absolutely fuc#ing classic stitch up!

having said that, if it means Benzema comes then all is forgiven.

so you're going to believe one ITK by the journalist, who I'm not calling out as fake or ITK-bashing or anything, over countless stories and other ITKs saying the deal is done? Do you really place that much worth in his words?

Then again, I'd just wait until we see it on the OS. I'm sick and tired of the saga and I can't let myself get excited again, as the deal's been "done" for 3 weeks.

Typical spurs window - we are even disappointed when we hear that we might not get our second, or maybe even third choice.

Seems Levy has learned nothing from last 3 windows, strange:shrug:

I think the only reason that nothing has been announced so far is because Citeh are still hoping to secure a permanent move for him so that he is off their books. I think if a foreign clubs comes along they would sell him for free so that the £170k wages are off the books.

If no one else makes a bid for him come the later stages of the window they will loan him to us and I believe as reported pay £100k of his wages whilst we pay £70k for a season. If we can convince him to join us next season again we would need him to come down to under 100k wages so a big drop and to get him to agree we must treat him well, play him alot and prove we can go places I guess.

I wouldn't be suprised if it came to a permanent move to us late in the window if there are no bids from other clubs and the deal would be on a free but one where he joins us on say £90k wages but Citeh also pay him £50k wages as an example for the remaining time on his contract or more than likely just for a season. I think it would be more likely for just one season as Citeh would believe after a season he may attract interest where they could sell him in another situation.

Pretty much, I wouldn't be suprised to see this deal left until around 30th August.

Where are the insiders at Holly House? We are usually deluged with ITK when a player has a medical. Not a tweet so far.
