I think that's being unfair, Rooney is undroppable, and Capello likes the way Heskey plays, we know that Heskey doesn't score many goals, and against decent opposition, if you cut off Defoe's service he's useless, where as Heskey can get stuck in and stuff. I'm gutted that Defoe's not starting beacuse I think he should, but I'm sure that he understands.

You say he can score goals out of nothing, but he still needs the ball at his feet. Heskey can be an option in the air, don't get me wrong, I would have picked JD, but obviously Capello isn't ready to start him just yet. At least we'll (fingers crossed) qualify early so we've got a whole year almost to build and experiment, so hopefully we'll see more of Defoe.
