Swann smashing some sixes, now or never, but I can't see these two holding out. Finn and Anderson are worse batsmen than my nan, so it's all down to them

Matter of time now, but great effort from England. Shame that two run outs look like costing us...pretty poor really but don't think anyone thought we'd get this close at the start of the day.

Well this is getting very tasty. 53 from 21 overs is eminently doable, it's just whether or not Jimmy and Finn can keep their wickets while Prior gets the runs.

A half way decent innings from Cook would have seen this game won.

Still, well done South Africa - England seem a bit out of sorts and recent test form hasn't been good, so perhaps a fair outcome.

great effort, but today summed up the series in a nutshell...we threw some wickets away - two run-outs in a run chase is just criminal and so unnecessary on both occasions...they also held on to catches at crucial times (when we dropped ours)...pretty galling to see the way sa celebrated...players holding fingers up as no.1 gesture was a bit disrespectful, but they outbatted, outbowled and outfielded us in the series...me thinks we were beaten from the start because the team has been subdued throughout and I suspect the whole KP thing is the cause

I don't think you can really criticise the Saffas for celebrating. I don't think it was in any way over the top. I didn't see it, but apparently Smith said 'well played' to Prior as he went off before celebrating with the rest of the team.

Pretty annoying today really.

We got to a point where we should/could have got the runs quite comfortably, but rather than change tact we were still trying to smash everything for 6/4
