Come on mate, you really think a guy who you continuously accuse of giving not one crap about what the fans think, and who has a captive audience providing revenue, is getting bullied into anything?

While I suspect there will be an element of tokenness to this supporter involvement, the mere fact that the club has acted to this extent, while we’ve just had words from the other clubs, shows a far more sincere understanding of the damage caused and will to put it right than with any of the other ESL clubs.
Unquestionably a token semi grovelling statement designed to placate, but the real acid test as always will be on the pitch won't it.
After all most fans are not that concerned about a new golf club being built but rather is the club moving forward ( which it isn't at the moment) and how high can they finish or win something.
It's a gesture of goodwill that as ALL spurs fans should take with a pinch of salt but ultimately try to all move forward together.

He absolutely was bullied into it. Fan protest galore, thst cutting off dialogue, calling for their resignations, social media up in arms, negative press everywhere. If you really think he wasnt bullied by all of that into doing some kind of token gesture like this, you’re high.

Step in the right direction, credit is due to them for it on face value but we’ll see over time how worthwhile it is

I think the intentions behind this are more for PR than for actual change, but intentions do not matter. The fact that it happened is big and signifies change is coming, whether the board really want it or not..

"The still-new stadium is the game changer in our progress – it will deliver the revenues for investment in the First Team. Be assured, we are absolutely clear that the heartbeat of the Club is success on the pitch and our fans"

We'll see.

Nice words but after recent weeks/years they've not earned the right to receive the benefit of the doubt. Let's wait and see.

The fact that they feel the need to reassure us of that shows that something has gone seriously wrong along the way.

It will be interesting to see if this opens up the board to be a bit more transparent with some of their decision making. I would guess there would be some sort of NDA that the advisory member needs to agree to, but hopefully it will mean at least some more info filters down to the fans.

‪Better late than never. But when someone shows you who they are over and over again you’ve got to pay notice. Stratford, not backing Pochettino, the ESL, time and again the owners have shown us who they are.‬

hmmm, i'm not sure about actual change and i'm certainly not going to get excited or encouraged by this, for now, it's just words and promises. Lets see who makes up this fans board, lets wait and see what issues they allow to be discussed and lets see how this all develops and what this fans board can actually achieve.

I'd have expected Levy to stand up front and centre with an apology so this limp excuse for one doesn't cut much ice although I fully expect it to make fans with a certain blood type to be all over this ;)

So this doesn't make me happy happy like some are but i'm not going to give them a coating either. For now, i'll wait and see before I say how great it is or how high the pile of bullshit might be

Absolutely spot on.

I'll grant them Covid has dealt them a bum hand just when the stadium was ready to go. But I'm no way buying into this notion that the team on pitch success and fans are at the forefront of their thinking.

That's just bullshit.

Agreed, and really that should be the only test.

Once again agreed, and I think ultimately there’s always going to be sceptical towards these types of statements but equally I don’t see what more the club could say/ do right more within the realms of realistic expectation so, as supporters, I hope this can be taken at face value and with some optimism.
If the club gathers, knives at the ready!

All things which have absolutely no impact on the thing Daniel most values: the bottom line.

Fair enough, I completely get that. I definitely am getting ahead of myself, but it makes me very happy that one of our fans is going to be able to have a say in what's best for our club, however small of a say it is. Gives me some optimism!

Levy the poker player playing another hand hoping that the headlines helps the fans drop their guard and protests. Hopefully the trust keep playing it cool. Ultimately he’ll probably get what he wants.
